im coming up to 32 weeks and have gained a stone. its not all bump tho! i can see on my legs and bum. last time i gained 1 stone 10lbs and had 10lbs to lose after giving birth so i only lost a stone having given birth. it then took me a few months to get the 10lbs off. my mate put on 3 stone and had a huge bump and she was normal weight within a few weeks....7/10/08 11:23
not sure how much ive put on dont really wanna know but ive always lost it after my last 2 so hoping i will this time! x

In the 1990s, the Institute of Medicine in the US recommended that women should aim for a weight gain related to their pre-pregnancy BMI:
• If your BMI was less than 19.8, you should aim for a weight gain of between 12.5 and 18kg (28 to 40lb).
• If your BMI was between 19.8 and 26, you should aim for a weight gain of 11.5 to 16kg (25 to 35lb).
• If your BMI was above 26, you should aim for a weight gain of 7 to 11.5kg (15 to 25lb).
The 1 2 3 rule summarises this in a way that is easy to understand:
• If you were overweight before you became pregnant, you should aim for a weight gain of around 1 stone.
• If you were a normal weight, you should aim for a weight gain of around 2 stone.
• If you were underweight, you should aim for a weight gain of around 3 stone.
If you are under 20 years of age, you should aim for a weight gain at the top end of the range for someone with your pre-pregnancy BMI.7/10/08 11:14

my mw said that 2./2.5 stone should be what i am aiming for!! if you look baby and placenta, additional blood etc will weigh 18lb - whgich you should loose automatically over a 8 week period just for giving birth
Someone i work with has 5 weeks left to go and has put on....wait for it......5stone 8lb at last weigh in!!

Im the same as you put on just over 2 stone but cant see where its gone other than bump and boobs. Everyone is asking how ive put so much on cos nothing else has got any bigger. I think a lot of it is bloating and water retention cos ive had a bump since 8 weeks everyones different x

more than everyone else has written!
I've put on around 2-2.5stone! Its all on my tummy though, and a bit on my face. Not sure exactly how much i weighed when ttc thats why its a rough guess! Its probably because i've developed an addiction to toblerone and fizzy sweets though! Not worrying about it too much, can always lose weight after babys born.7/10/08 11:07
i don't know yet, will weigh myself at the midwife's on thursday but i'm guessing it's 1 and half stone as a few weeks ago i'd put on 1st 3lbs.

Too much LOL!
I lost it all and more last time can always do it again.

31 weeks and gained 5lb, but I am not too worried, I actually lost weight through my pregnancy with my son and ended up at term having only put on 9lb - he was 8lb 14oz born. So not surprised I haven't really gained any this pregnany either as I am determined I lost up until 4 weeks ago.

Hi, i'm 28+1 and have put on 9lb xx
7/10/08 10:47
Im 31 weeks and have gained 1 stone exactly. But it hasnt gone up at all for 2 months now. Just been the same.
7/10/08 10:42
Im 30wks now and have put on 1 1/2 stone, just wondered how much every1 else has put on?

right i weighed myself yesterday after guessing i'd put on a stone and a half and i wasn't far off...i've put on 1stone and 9lbs. so i went from 9st 5 to 11 stone spot on, that was a shock let me tell you lol.
the nurse annoyed me though as when i walked in she asked how long i had left so i said 2 months exactly and she said 'oh not to worry, you've got plenty of time to grow yet' as though my bump isn't big enough! i was only a size 8-10 pre-pregnancy so what's she expecting?! plus i've put on a reasonable amount of weight so hmph!
