    last time a read sumwhere 2 use almond oil so a got sum from holland n barrat but a didnt really use it. U read this time u should start 2 massage that area from 35wks onward. A fink u can buy specialist oil from mother care n defo blooming marvellous cus av seen it on website

    Thanks I saw  mw on mon and asked about birthing positions but forgot all about the oil which is why I asked you ladies! I'll pop to the health shop I think. Last time i was sitting/laying down - legs in stirrup had an epidural and mw said that is the worst position! I'm so scared to do it without an epidural - the pain!!! I had such a horrible mw last time she refused to give me gas and air until i was gone 7cm!

    welshie82 mw was saying today that giving birth on all fours takes the pressure away from where the scar would be also dont have an epidural or episiotomy.

    I know it sounds stupid but I only ever cook with olive oil, feels so weird to be using it anywhere else!!!  I'll look into the wheatgerm oil tomorrow i think

    i got it in holland and barratts with my last child but didn't use it that much luckily it is still in date, tbh i dont know exactly what it is just a natural oil lol, would of thought you can get it in a health shop, but if you cant get that any mw said you can use olive oil too

    Debs sorry I am a moron but what is wheatgerm oil?  Can you get it from boots etc?

    i have mentioned this a couple of times on here, i was with the mw today and she said it does help to use oil i am using wheatgerm oil but she said any oil that is unscented and that is not likely to irritate you.

    I also tore, last time i had 3rd degree tears so it is 1 of my worries but this mw said she had the same and had to have an operation to have her tear corrected and that they told her to oil it.

    I was going to start massaging mine on recommendation of MW but no idea what oil to use!!  I use bio oil on bump but not sure if its ok to use there

    ne1 trying the old olive oil on the perineum area? i tore on my 1st so worried about it happening again! any hints/tips would be appreciated
