beef is a good sourch for iron too, even more so if you drink orange juice with it as it help to absorb the iron. also you are better off not having iron tablets as it makes you very constipated apperently.

my belly button changes all the time depending of where baby is and i would say the size is fine, they will only think it is a problem if there is 2wks difference.

I can certainly stomach Guiness.  Not sure what baby would think of the alcohol though - although I think they used to prescribe it to pregnant women years ago - "Guiness is good for you" and all that.

A great source of Iron is Guiness. My friend is 37 weeks pg and is slightly aneamic and she has been drinking a pint a week to boost her iron levels.

Depends if you can stomach the stuff tho!!

My friend had to have anti-d and she had it at something like 28 weeks and then I think she may have had one after the birth but I'm not sure whether she did get that one or not.  She definitely only had one during the pregnancy.  HTH.

I would say u measure spot on. My area is the same as other poster for anti d. Had one at 28 wks and having another at 34 wks. Have heard that some areas give a larger dose all at once now instead though.

Cant help with all of them but as for iron rich stuff spinach (I hate it cooked but don't mind it in salad) and apparently orange juice helps you absorb iron.  Peas are really good for you too, better than broccoli even.  Steak etc is good too, venison apparently is even richer in iron.  As for belly button one minute im certain mine is about to pop out the next minute it looks normal again so I wouldn't worry, I think somtimes how baby lies makes it push out if you get what I mean?  Sounds like you are measuring fine to me.  I am clueless about anti-d stuff tho, sorry xxx

hi, i think your measurements are about right i was measurin a bit behind at last appointment but not worried as i think bump has grown since.iron rich foods are green leafy veg,eg.spinach and also red meat not sure what else.in my area they give anti-d routinely at 28 and 34 weeks but only used to give it if you had a bleed.still waiting for my belly button to pop out lol, but not happened yet! hope some of this helps x

    Hello,

Had a check up with the midwife today and she said baby is now head down not breech which is cool - although he seems to be turning every few days at the moment so reckon he may turn a few more times before he decides which way to settle. I have a few questions following a visit to the midwife today.  (She's a good MW but I always find I come away with more questions, which you guys are great at answering and usually spark some good discussion!).

    1) She measured my bump and it measured 30cm's and I am 30+2wks, which seems right judging by stuff I've been reading on here, but 30cm's is just above the top limit of the line on my personalised growth chart - is that just because I'm quite petite do you think so that baby is big in proportion to me but about avergae generally?  Am confused.

    2) I asked about my next Anti-D injection and she said I only have to have one.  I had one in my arm at 27 weeks.  I was sure I had to have 2 or 3 and am sure lots of you have mentioned having a few so bit confused there.

    3) She said my iron levels are low but not low enough for her to presribe iron tablets.  She said I need to eat more iron rich foods etc - anyone know what they are - I can only think of chocolate and I think brocolli and bran flakes?!

Also, does anyone elsse belly button keep changing?  One day mine looks like it is about to dissappear and the next it looks like normal again - do you think it depends on have baby is lying?

    So many questions......
