Im exactly the same, I cant stand sleeping when the heating in on, it makes you feel crap the next morning!! I thought that I would just make sure that baby has enough blankets to keep warm during the night. Ive for a few grobags for when it gets a little bigger, but when its first born I will layer it up and check temperature during the night.

    Thanks for your help.

    xx

This is what im going to do, bearing in mind my husband is incredibly tight with gas and electric!

At the moment, we have the timer on for the mornings (cant stand getting up into a cold room).  It goes off at 8am when we leave for work.  In the evenings we leave it off unles its really really cold which its only been a few times so far.  If it was just us this winter and we work during the day anyway, we set the timer to come on again at 5pm so the house is warm when we get home.  It then goes off at 10pm, and if im still up ill just put it on constant for a while longer.

Im going to have the heating on constant, at about a medium heat (Not sure what degree's, just not full blast).  During the night im going to turn the lounge and kitchen radiators right off.  And just leave the upstairs ones on constant, but low temp.

Then in the morning as soon as I come down ill turn the radiator on in the lounge.  If the room is really cold im just going to day the baby down on his play mat for a while in front of the radiator just while I get ready so he doesnt get too cold.  Im going to try and leave the kitchen one off as the baby wont be in there anyway hardly at all (Far to small for anything other than kitchen applicances)

Its meant to be cheaper to actually run the heating constantly on a low temp rather than it having to keep firing up when the timer goes on. xx

I have had this crazy thought.......................at the moment at home we dont have the heating on all night, it goes of when we go to bed and comes on for an hour before we get up. What about when baby is here?? Will we need heating on all night?? When I get up in the night at the moment the house feels cold. Will baby get cold if we dont have the heating on?? What will everyone else do??
