Hi all. Haven't had much chance to get on. Sienna is 4weeks now(5 on Thurs). She has been quite unsettled since I stopped bf but I couldn't keep bf up as she was feeding every hour and Olivia was playing up as she was getting no time with me. I was also drained from the blood loss and had no energy. We started on Aptimil but she didn't get on with it well so put her on c & g comfort which Olivia was on but she still wasn't much better, feeding ev 2 hours only taken 1-2 oz. HV thinks it's colic but this milk worked well for Olivia but not really for Sienna. In last 2 days I have managed to stretch her feeds to 3-4 hours which is a lot better and using dentinox which appears to help. Think I am popping out later to get dr browns bottles.

Hope you are all well. I am so tired as 2 is a lot harder than 1 and with Sienna feeding all over the place etc I am finding I am stuck in a lot so it's really getting me down. X

Well touch wood no more exorcist vomitting from Lily since 7pm last night.  However, her bottom is rumbling now and she has not had her poo for two days so is now due.  Not sure which is worse!!!

The joys of motherhood eh!!!  Would not change it for the world even though my Alfie (2 next week) has been crying non stop since 4am.  He has a rotten cold and is not handling being poorly very well.

A friend rang up and after five minutes she said that she would have to call back cos she could not bear to listen to the noise!!!

Oh well, hope this wet weather is not getting you all down.  take care

wow a ghost in your hosue amy! that would be weird!  when i had my dd abigail in march 05 i had a ghost for a while, i used to hear a womans voice talking to my dd in the night, my sis went to a spiritual reader ( i dont usually believe in them) but he said that the ghost was my mum (who died when i was 20 weeks preg with dd) and that she had just come to see my dd and to make sure she was ok

morning lovelies. what a night we had!!!! scarletts had a nasty cold for 4 days now but last night started choking on her phlegm so off we went to the out of hours doctors. she's not bringing any phlegm up at all and her throats red raw so shes dribbling all over the place! they said its a viral infection and nothing they can do except give her calpol. she has to sleep upright in my arms, even with the head of her moses basket propped up the phlegm still lays so heavily in her chest. been told to give her 1oz of milk every hour. she was weighed though and is now 10lb!! not bad for 9 weeks lol. was in mothercare yesterday afternoon and this woman comes up to see scarlett and asks how old so i said 9 weeks and she didnt believe me lol, said she's the same size as her 1 week old i dont mind having my little babe though.

ive had 7 hours sleep in 3 days and the mad thing is i dont feel tired at all! though if someone offered to have the kids while i went to bed id jump at the chance lol. its my leaving do on friday and i cant wait. im so looking forward to letting my hair down. we aslso have a ghost in our house and its scaring the crap out of me now lol. cant wait to move!!!!! thats pretty much all the excitement ive had lol. hope your all well xxxxx

Evening, hope you are all well.

My Lily is a bit sickly at the moment.  She seems ok in herself but during the night and again this evening she has been really sick.  Was only about 15 - 30 mins after a feed both times and it was a huge amount.  I think it is distressing me more than her at the moment.  She has been a little sick during the day too but only the odd mouthful.

Will keep an eye on her.  I get a bit paranoid when anything out of the ordinary happens....

I'm getting Jessica weighed again today, hopefully she's gained weight again.  I worry because she is so happy to only have one or two feeds a night, which means I don't always achieve eight feeds in twenty four hours, which is what they recommend.

I got her weight gain wrong last time.  I looked in her red book and she weighed 7lb 14.5oz.  So her gain was 11.5oz rather than 8.5oz.  My health visitor obviously needs a calculator for Christmas.

Am feeling a bit under the weather today, have a sore throat and beginnings of a killer migraine.  Was at Ikea yesterday, so my whole body is screaming at me because I overdid it with the walking.  I've asked my carer to wash, dress and feed Ollie, then bring him back up to his room as I plan to spend the morning in bed until the midwife arrives to weigh Jess.  Feeling a bit mean that Ollie is getting left to his own devices, but I guess I have to find a balance and if I feel awful I need to rest.

    How is everyone else?

lynnikins...it could be more teeth...DS1 was terrible with his at times and that was from 9 months onwards and thankfully not at birth so he was old enough to hold something and chew on it...combination of restless sleeping/slight temperature/really bad nappies/grouchy etc

Well Brian is grinning his head off on a regular basis, and his latest trick is to purse his lips...he will keep them like this until you kiss him...soooooo cute LOL

Today i think we FINALLY have some real bonding from Gregor (the 17 month old big brother)...while i was making dinner i had brian in a bouncy chair thing...he was wide awake and cries when left lying so thought lets see if giving him something to watch will help...so he's lying there quietly and Gregor starts crawling around him (this is the child who RUNS everywhere just now)...then he stands up and wanders around it...then pushes the chair into the center of the floor and gives it a bounce...a tad over zealous with it so had to stop him, but really sweet...he then kneeled down in front of the chair and started with an excited babble, tried to hold hands and grinning all the time

then being the h*lls angel that he is he stuck a finger in his little brothers ear...little brother didnt appreciate it and started bawling...20 mins later had to scrape well done potatoes off the bottom of the pot...soooo glad it wasnt an expensive one and they werent on hard boil LOL
