Its thicker so you need to make sure the water is warm enough for the milk to dissolve. I always make my son up 7oz and put 5oz of boiled cooled water in the bottle and then top up 2oz of fresh boiled water. That way the milk is just about ready, maybe slightly warm but when i have changed him its just right! I have no issues. My dd was on cow and gate comfort and my ds aptamil easy digest. Aptamil is a sister company of cow and gate, so the milks the same. x

Both cow and gate comfort and aptamil easy digest will make your baby;s poos loose. My ds and dd have never had any issues with constipation and its cause of their milk!

So can u make c&g comfort up the same way as iam the SMA?

My lo is on Aptimil.  If you can call poo nice, his poos are nice and runny and no constipation!!  Even though he pulls some funny faces and makes strange noises when he goes.  I make the bottles up the same as you are doing at the moment,

you could try givin ur lo a ready made caron evry 1/2 days that'll make him poo lol  x x x

I'm not sure about the C&G Comfort but C&G milk now contains pre-biotics which is fibre.  I fed my DD2 on SMA Gold & she got very constipated so this is why with DS I'm giving him C&G and he's doing the best poos ever!!

Hiya, my lil man is now 17 days old. Im using SMA gold but hes realy constipated. HV said 2 give him cooled boiled water which i have been but isnt helping. So now im considering changing his milk. I bought c&g comfort, ive not started him on it yet cuzt after reading some threads on here im put off using it.  At the moment Im making up my bottles wih just the water in and then adding powder as and when i need it throughout the day, however some are saying you cant do this with c&g, it needs to be added with hot boiled water. Is this right?

Can anyone reccomend a good milk, that prevents constipation?? I dont know what to do!!
