I'm going to move my lo soon (she is 6 weeks) and will put her moses basket in the cot for a week or so so she gets used to the new room and cot etc. I remember putting my ds in the cot from his moses basket and he wouldnt settle so had to put basket in cot for a while. good luck xx

My 12 week old is still in her cot but my friend moved her lo from moses basket to cot at 6 weeks and the way she did it was she put her baby in the moses basket and put the moses basket in the cot for about a week so lo got use to the cot.

My 9 week old son has out grown his moses and we decided to put him in the cot in our room last night...i done the usual routine of bath, bottle and then a bit of calpol as hes teething already too and he just wouldnt settle? i usually put him down drowsy but as soon as i put him in the cot his eyes were wide open..looking around everywhere....obviously at his new bed!
When he finally fell asleep...he kept waking up all through the night.Idid everything i could and he still wouldnt settle....Any tips on what i could do? or what others have done to make the move easier?? xxx

My daughter is 7 weeks today and has been sleeping in her cot since Sun night. I followed the baby whisperers technique of rolling 2 blankets up 1 for either side of her and covering with another blanket to keep them in place. She seems to like it and it keeps her snug. I will start to move them further apart so she gets used to the extra room gradually.
