I had a uterine infection after a c-section. My bleeding smelled awful, especially wen I passed clots. I felt quite ill, almost like i had a bug. I had dizzy spells & felt sick most of the time as well as achy. It was a generally unwell feeling, along with tummy pains.

i have got lower back ache, after pains in belly which dont seem to go after takin pain killas, i have also been quite light headed and dizzy past few days, also feel sick on ocassions!!!

Not that I can think of, what symptoms have you got?

Me!  It was picked up a couple of weeks after the birth when I was still bleeding and had noticed a smell (sorry tmi) so the midwife took a swab and I got some antibiotics.  There was also the fact that I was getting stomach pains.  After the bleeding stopped I was still getting (again tmi - sorry) a yellowy discharge which still had a slight smell to it.  I still had the infection and had to have a second course of antibiotics, but again I'm not 100% sure it's gone cos I keep getting stomach pains.
