Thanks guys i will give the water a try.
His poo was fine this afternoon when changed was still smooth and yellow so could it just be constipated.
What can be helped for constipation?

well three kids and i never knew gripe water helped them sleep!!!!!!! now I know why every 1 recommends that lol. whats in there that helps them sleep then? might start using it for my ds xx

cool boiled water hun. my ds was on sma but became constipated instead of changing his milk i gave him that and it did really work but poo's were still not as soft as they should have been so we switched to aptimal which worked wonders but we still have the odd ounce of water here and there. Also i dont know if this works but midwife recommended fresh orange (I didnt do that as the water worked fine with us).

give him a bottle of water a dayonly a few fl zs as if he is bottle feeding the formula builds inside my lo has to have a full bottle of water a day to make her poo if she don't have the water she doesn't poo and cries all day and night it's not nice. gripe water is good to though in their last bottle it also has something in it which makes them slepp. x

been usin infacol fr last 2 weeks which seems to be workng.
Its only today that he has been like this just wondered maybe he is constipated and what would help with this?

Hey all
Baby 4weeks old and been cryin for most of the day toay,
He sounds and looks like he is thrusting like he is pooin but nothing in nappie he as pooed once quite alot but is still tryin to thrust all time and nothin happening also crys when he thrust as tho he is in pain.
i have tryed holding his legs up when he thrust also tryed lying on his back and movin legs like he is on a bike but nothin working.
plz Any ideas on what can do to help?

just keep giving him the water once a day that should keep it at bay xx
