Nathan is 7 mths today so I think that apart from Brock that's all off us. I'm going to create a thread in 7-12mths with Sally's title so make sure you move on over!
We're not crawling yet, she gets about by rolling over and over and dragging herself from side to side, hey it works a bit lol. She sits up quite well but does throw herself backwards so I can't really leave her unattended to play, which means I don't get much done during the day at all. Putting cushions behind her doesn't work, she just lays down on them hehe
I have tried toast, and she gummed a few bits but it was laborious and she got fed up really quickly, and then choked when she ate a bit too big. Thank god for my food processor that's all I can say, it chops up meals really easily!
hiya
alfie is crawling too, only for a while tho. He can now sit up as well, he does fall eventually but can do about 5 mins with out falling. He likes to play with his ring stacker.
I made alfie 'lovely lentiles' tonight for dinner and he loved it.....it did taste nice. So in my freezer at the moment i have.....wait for it ....5 different home made meals (about 4 dinners in each variety) get me ......domestic godess i know. lmao i have a cooking bug at the moment.
We got alfies head checked today at the helmet clinic in london and he is almost at the top end of normal, so really pleased. Yay it should be off in a month...
We are all going fishing tomorrow....with the kids, yikes! that should be interesting. Poor anglers trying to have peaceful fish. Really looking forward to it as it is something new to me.
hope u are all well

I must admit it is so easier now that George is sitting up and can sit and play with his toys, he gets less frustrated. He is also crawling albeit comando but he is getting quicker everyday gonna have to watch him.
Poor thing has a cold, then on the way back from Tescos I bumped into a mum who goes to Kindermusic as well and her LO came out with chickenpox after lastweeks class - yikes! Isnt it good for LO's to get them when they are younger?
Isnt the weather lovely, off to Bewl water tomorrow they have a big lake there and a ferry that does 40 minute trips round it, we are going to take a picnic... hope the sun keeps shining
Nathan may have teeth and eat sandwiches but he still hasn't mastered the art of sitting or crawling. Can't wait until he is sitting and he can sit and play with toys instead of just rolling around and getting upset rolling into things!
Carla - have you tried Charlotte on anything like toast or bread? We still have purees for dinner especially if they have meat in them (Sam still struggles chewing meat at 4 ! lol). I find that Nathan copes better with real finger food than he does with lumpy purees. I think will the purees he just swallows without thinking and gags, with more solid things he knows he has to chew (well gum anyway!)
That's meant to say now into everything and not "not into everything" (really need to type slower)
Brock is
as of the other day. Woo hoo!! After 2 weeks of rocking back and forth he's not into everything I need eyes in the back of my head lol.
Although still no teeth
Sandwiches, teeth, I dont wanna play no more your LO's are way to advanced lol
Well done Nathan and happy 7 month birthday for tomorrow. x
Anyone's LO crawling yet, I know Lennox is,anyone else?
Wow!! Can't wait until I can try Brock on sandwiches, wouldn't dare try it yet as he has no teeth and I think he's still a little young, but he seems to manage toast and bananas fine. But I do have to regulate how much he stuffs in his mouth at once as he seems to pile it in and I worry he'll choke. However on the lumpier food front i'm struggling with him. The second I give him anything with a lump he gags and pulls faces, then when I offer the next spoon he point blank refuses! Any ideas what I can do?
I'm so jealous. We're on pureed stuff still, turkey casserole was made this morning, I can't help panicking that she'll still be refusing finger foods when she's 5 lol
Yay! Just had to tell you that Nathan had a dairylea sandwich, cucumber chunks and chopped banana for his lunch and ate most of it!!!! Ok most of the cucumber ended up on the floor but still ....
hiya all
i spoke tooooo soon about alfie being really good with teeth....the last couple of nights he has been waking all night, last night was 10:30pm, 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, 5:30am and 6am. He then slept till 9:30 but i had to get up at 6:30 for work. I know he isnt hungry as he eats loads and drinks lots of milk now,his bottom teeth are almost through and i think they are the culprit!!!!!!! Bless him. He had bonjela and calpol in the night and when i put his dummy back in his mouth he just chewed on it. When i gave him he bottle at 7:30 he just chewed on the teat for a while too. I am exhaused, i bet alfie is too. Its hard work all the growing lark!!! lol.
hope you ladies and your lo's are all well

just popping on to say lennox has his first tooth ,noticed it when i was at train station today ,coming back from clinic x x
Hello there again!
Catnkitten- I hope lo's teeth come through soon bless her, it's horrible seeing them in so much discomfort. I hope your cold goes soo as well, you seem to have had that an age! Luckily I can't remember the last time I had a cold.
Sequin1- Loving the name for the new thread!
Mummybourne- Of course i'll follow the thread over, wouldn't expect you all to wait for us lol. And wouldn't dream of leaving you all, as you've been such a help to me, even when it's just been me moaning on.
Simone- I found that weaning didn't really stop Brocks reflux as such, but he seems a little happier (apart from he's teething.) He still brings back food regulary, hours after having eaten, but I've noticed that certain foods make it worse, tomatoes seem to be one of them.
Hi Simone, as said already weaning didn't cure reflux, we're all still waiting for that to happen. Crossed fingers, the sickness here has been reduced quite a bit this week (32 weeks) though she still burps up food any time right up to the next feed. Still means several outfit changes a day, but it's not as bad as in the beginning. Probably worth discussing with your HV, as they may recommend like us you do dairy free or something.
My LO slept through last night! Bit grumpy today, but I think that's because she didn't eat much breakfast. DP tried weetabix, which he reckons she only had a couple of spoonfuls. He does give up a bit easily though, he often leaves half a bowl of food and claims she's full then she take the rest when I try. Not good that I end up doing all the feeding some days, though, especially when I'm trying to set up my own business too> ARGH!
Sounds good to me!
Hi and welcome!
Weaning for us helped, George was never a big milk drinker because of the reflux but really took to his food, and now he is even getting better with his milk and seems to be enjoying it more.
Ladies, a suggestion for a name for our 7-12 month thread 'Refluxers... new and improved' !! thought that way it covers all our LO's that seem to be improving but also any new mums that want to join.... what do you reckon?
Hi there, the weaning didn't make it worse but didn't cure it either. Definately made a difference though. Nathan dropped down to the bottom of the chart and you can see on the chart when we started weaning (at 4mths) as he has gone up to 9th centile now. He is still sick but not as much and loves his food.
hello hope you dont mind me crashing your thread, but dd has reflux, been on gaviscon for about 4 weeks and ranitidine for 1 week. dd 16 weeks today. been wondering about weaning early as she doesnt seem to put weight on very quickly with milk. was on 25th line but now 9th. did it make reflux worse???
