George went through a phase of waking in the night, not crying or hungry just wanted to play - for 2hrs!.  I reduced his daytime naps and that did the trick.  Having said that I have just put him down for his morning nap and he has not stopped crying, I am wondering if he might be getting his first tooth as his poos have increased and he has a runny nose and hacking cough - arnt these signs of teething?  Or perhaps it could just be a cold?

The waking up could be a sign that the teeth are nearly there. That's what Nathan did and as soon as they came through he started sleeping again. I found it worse than when he was newborn as you are prepared for it then aren't you.

Really tired at the moment, just can't get up in the mornings, I'm sure it's all these colds going round at the moment as I'm a bit snuffly. Next week is the start of Sam going to school full time so it's 6.30 get up for me from now on   Note to self: must lose weight and get fitter.

Everyone's putting on weight, we have missed both clinics this week but going next week. I want to get madam measured too, I did a rough measurement and she seems to be up in the 91st/95th centile area for length, she's outgrowing her 6-9 stuff now.

I wish we could get onto sandwiches, we're still getting to grips with coarser pureed foods, I'm sure once these teeth cut through things might be easier. She's waking up every night now and it's draining, how did we cope when we had to feed them several times a night?

    Hello there,

Good to see that evryone's lo's seem to be happier, lets hope it continues Is everyone's lo 7 months now?? My little man doesn't turn 7 months until the 10th of October lol, so i'll be following over to 7-12 months in just over 2 weeks time I think. Didn't realise Brock was the youngest on here

Brock has had an ok day today, very whingey tonight, however, banging his head on the Tv cabinet didn't exactly help matters if i'm honest. But he hasn't quite realise that you can't crawl through things, and no matter how much you bash them with your head, they won't move!! Bless him, he'll catch on eventually.

yep, Nathan is 7mths on Sunday. Shall we move? Think we might have a few too many names to list them all now. Seems a bit boring just to call it the reflux thread

i had a proper look in alfies mouth to see his new tooth and it isnt the top middle one it is his thang tooth!!!very bizarre

    Evening all

George is the same I have found if I give him something to hold he seems happier taking his milk.  He seems to be happily set in a routine of 3 bottles 2 x 7oz and 1x 8oz at bedtime and seems to finish them all, and in the last couple of days has finished his botttles all whilst on my lap which is a breakthrough , dare I say it but could we all be coming out of the woods??

Had G weighed today for the first time in 5 weeks he is 18lb12 now and is on the same line (just over the 50th percentile) that he was last time he was weighed so I was chuffed.

George is 7 months today, so, am I right in thinking Nathan is 7 months on the 28th, is that everyone so we then move over to the next club?

Loraine, not heard from you in a while, hows Lennox?

    Hi there, how is everyone?

Nathan has been a bit whingy today. Not sure if his top teeth are coming as they look like they might be. I tried to put some dentinox on them earlier and he bit me, it bl**dy hurt. Those bottom teeth sure are sharp.

Had him weighed today and he is now 16lb 3 so he's put on 9oz in two weeks   He's eating really well at the moment and drinking his milk ok too, even drank 7oz before bed yesterday.  I have found that if I give him something to play with while he drinks, even if it is just the bottle lid or his muslin he is so busy concentrating on that that he just keeps on drinking

Also, for anyone still using Gaviscon I have a tip for you - I have recently discovered that it works loads better if you mix the milk powder and the gaviscon BEFORE adding it to the water. I give it a good shake in a powder dispenser and it stops it clumping up in the milk and it's now doing the trick most of the time. I have discovered too that you need to tear the packet right open to get every speck of Gaviscon out cos half of it is left in the packet otherwise.  I suppose I should test him without it soon to see what happens but there never seems a good time when it wouldn't be so bad if he was sick, especially now I'm ferrying Sam back and forth to school.

I still have this cold, it just wont go away! Madam is definitely teething, hardly napped today, really whiney and chewing her fingers, and bonjela took the edge off it. Calpoled her up for nighttime and she settled so well, gave me a lovely huge grin while I was reading her story She has been waking in the night though, 2 and 3am last night, I hope she's a bit more settled tonight. DP is going away for a couple of nights again next week so I don't want to have to do controlled crying on my own!

Well done ladies and boys, some good work today. I just realised I'm the only one with a little girl in this thread lol I have been at a pampering evening this evening trying to drum up some business, might have got some ladies who will have parties, ones all the way in canvey but that's not too bad!

Good luck with the dental work, I need to have a crown done but I've got a problem elsewhere and want to get that sorted first, or I won't be able to chew at all LOL
