Wow, bet you didnt know what to do with yourself! George is doing good (touch wood) at the moment with both his food and milk, I almost feel like I am experiencing what other mums have had all along if you know what I mean!
Going to see nursery next week as will be back to work in Feb (boo!)
19/9/08 11:16
Think he'll have to have that again, he's just slept for and hour and a half

Is George still doing ok now your home?
19/9/08 11:08
Go Nathan! George hates it!
19/9/08 10:05
Nathan had his first taste of weetabix this morning - ate a whole one without stopping for breath!!!

Fingers crossed she has passed the illness now, whatever it was. We had dinner, she wasn't that keen but MY OH MY did pudding fly down the hatch quicker than I could dish it up! We even have tried lumpy things today and she wasn't too averse after the initial choking and drama queen efforts. And she's been so active, she's been rolling all over the shop - we have to keep an eye on her now!

Hi Girls,
Glad Charlotte is getting better (fingers crossed).
Hope Brock is ok.
I took Nathan into work today to talk about me returning next month. Every person that saw him said 'wow, he's not crying!' lol. Last time I went he cried from the moment I got there until the moment I left, this time he was all smiles. They could really see what a different baby he is now.
Nathan is 7mths on 28th - I really can't believe how time is flying now.

18/9/08 17:44
Hey, just thought, when do we all graduate to 7-12months, cant be long is it Nathan and George that are the last ones (George is 7 months on the 25th)?
18/9/08 17:40
Hi everyone
All ok here, took George into town to get some new clobber and a new winter sleeping bag. Still off mamas homemade cooking so trying to mix it in with the jars, no fooling him though!!
Carla, glad to hear things are calming down, no news on any teeth? Nathan seems to be top of the class at the moment, no teeth here yet

18/9/08 15:16
Fingers crossed things seem to have calmed down here!!! The nappies are starting to get a bit better, and she's eaten solids, though we've not given her huge meals just yet, no sign of any teeth yet though!
17/9/08 22:56
My LO's nappies are just really watery poo (sorry about TMI!) at the moment, I'm hoping it's coming to an end. I think we've been very lucky she's not become dehydrated this week, but if she's no better tomorrow I'll prob go back to the doc on Friday. I didn't bother with the HV because if I thought she's already feeling rough, being in clinic around a lot of other kids probably won't help. That's prob where she picked it up from in the first place!
Hope the scan thing goes OK for Brock tomorrow!

good luck for tomorrow carolynx x x xx x

hiya
alfie crawled today
he looked sooooo cute
I think alfie may have teeth on the way his gums are raised and really hard now and he too has started to pooh alot more. He has been quiet happy tho. he did choke a few times today on a rice cake and on roasted butternut squash and was sick a little but no where near as bad as a few weeks ago, so fingers croosed it stays that way.
catkitten - how is your lo now, has it dried up at all? Maybe its from when she was ill and its the last of it coming out of her system. Its scary tho isnt it as the babies dont put much weight on as it is so constant dirty nappies dont help. Have you decided to go see hv?
mummybourne. how is lo today have you been able to put him down at all? they must still hurt as they are growing up. Bless him.
Mybabybump. Good luck for tomorrow i hope you get the help and information you need.

Brock has porridge for breakfast, mixed with a little mashed banana. It's probably the only meal of the day he doesn't throw back up. The other day he ate a full bowl of it and I was really chuffed with him.
For dinner yesterday he had a bowl of sweet squash and chicken puree, and a petits filous for afterwards (normally I wouldn't give pudding) but his weight is suffering. And he refused solids at tea time which didn't bother me as he ate well at dinner.
He's so temperamental. One minute he's smiling the next he's screaming the house down and turning purple because he's in such a state. I don't know if the crying is down to pressure in his head or if it's just who he is.
DH said last night he wants there to be something wrong tomorrow! I was like WHAT? but then he said if it's his head there's things the docs can do to help him. If it's not his head then why's he crying so much? And to be honest it got me thinking. What if the crying is just him? How on earth am I going to cope?
Catnkitten- I would take lo to HV, just to be on the safe side. I think the teething thing is only meant to last a few days, but I could be totally wrong. Hope she's ok and hasn't got a tummy bug or anything like that. I hope she gets back into her solids too, it's hard when they refuse. You have to stay calm, but I find that quite difficult.

Moaning is what this thread is for
plus you have it worse than me at the moment as I think (& hope) we are past constant crying. The only crying Nathan does now is the normal baby whinging over teeth, hunger, tiredness etc. I really feel for you as the first 4 months of Nathan's life when he just wouldn't be put down were hell on earth! If you can try and see tomorrow as a positive thing (I know that is hard) but at least you are either going to know he's ok or you are going to get some help.

Hiya, sorry I can't remember what you're feeding Brock atm, have you tried any finger foods at all? You might find you can get some down him if you let him feed himself?
It's probable of course that if you're worried about tomorrow, he is picking this up and getting stressed himself. My LO certainly picks up on my bad moods, shame DP doesn't LMAO
I'm thinking about going to see our HV this morning at clinic. The nappies are still bad (though it was a bit better contained by the baby dry!) and I can't help worrying that she's going to refuse to go back onto solids once whatever this is has passed. We don't think we have any teeth yet , and it's a week now since she got fussy and started refusing food
I'm scared to weigh her in case she's lost weight.17/9/08 08:33
Hello there,
I find Calpol does nothing for Brock unfortunately. When I have given him it he takes the first bit ok then he fusses over taking the rest. strange little man.
This morning I am on the brink of going into meltdown, i'm so close to tears it's unreal. Brock's been up since 6:30am and done nothing but cry since getting him up. He's had his first 8oz bottle which he fussed over, I've just tried to give him his breakfast and he was screaming before he even saw the bowl. I managed to get about 10 weaning spoons down him before he started arching his back and going into a major strop. How on earth do I up his solids if he's refusing them?
I'm so worried about tomorrow now, his moods are worse than ever, constantly cries pulling and hitting his head, dh seems to be coping fine, and i'm falling apart.
Sorry for moaning as I know you're all having problems of your own xx

Oooh, I'm thinking of trying weetabix. Not sure what she'll make of it! Did you warm up the milk or give it cold? We've been trying out peachy porridge, it's lumpy but she seems to cope with it OK, though doesn't eat as much as the smooth one.
