I've done a few boot sales and there are some really mad people aren't there!?! They jump on you when your setting up and buy the strangest things. Really got to do another one before our attic collapses with the weight! lol
14/9/08 21:09
hi carla glad you made some money ,now try not to spend it lol x x x

Hey ladies, re apples our LO was really sick with them, I think it's the acidity. So when they are allowed citrus fruits they probably won't go down too well either. Nice dense foods are good, like porridge, cement mix, sweet potato...
Loraine, I got your message. Yeh he did us proud today, except I now need to find loads of stuff to sell every week! We're going to probably buy some stuff in, but if we can do that every week that'll be a huge weight off our mind, for sure. He still came back with a load of stuff, and you just never know what people are going to buy at boot sales!
Good to have you back Sally, I'm just off to finish cooking dinner!

Yeah, it was his first day last weds. He's only doing part time to start and they are changing it each week. This week is mornings and I'm petrified that I'll get up in the morning and forget where I'm supposed to be going!!!

Just seen the photos of Sam, he is a real sweetie, is it his first year at 'big school' ?
14/9/08 20:59
yes i know what u mean, ellas pouches are packed with apples in every one, he does not really like them tho.
14/9/08 20:57
re apples - sometimes I use jars if I'm going out or haven't got time and I've just looked through my stock and it's amazing how many have apples or tomatoes in them!
14/9/08 20:54
Yes it's the first. He was a bit grumpy at the start of the week and didn't eat/drink much, seemed as though it hurt to put anything in his mouth. I guess that was why but it was only for a day. He's been chewing on everything for ages though and pooing for England recently. It really hurts now if he chews on your finger!
I hope it was a one off too. I was trying so hard not to getting excited that the reflux was coming to an end as I knew it would rear it's ugly head again but I'm still gutted.
14/9/08 20:54
Alfie has not got one either

their time will come

Wow Nathan, a tooth! Is it his first? Was it painful for him? George still has no teeth as yet.... Hope Lennox joins the 'fang' club soon too!

Awww bless him, it will change his face when it is higher up. They look so cute with there toothy grin...

Its funny you should say that about apples, alfie will not eat them at all. It was the first weaning food i tried and even now he wont entertain it .
Hope lo goes back to how he was the day before, hoipefully it ws just a oneoff.
Hope lo ear infection clears up and hopefully he will start feeling a little better soon.

Hi Sally, welcome back. Glad you had a good time & hope George carries on being good.
We've had a good week too - had a glimpse into the future with hardly any sick but sadly today he has had a bit of a relapse. I have read that apples and tomatoes can be bad for reflux and have an inkling that that is what may have caused it today, so I am going to try and ensure he doesn't have any tomorrow.
And... news flash of the week..... Nathan has a tooth!!!

hi sally his protective of the cement mix lol,his been poorly since friday with a ear infection, his ripping at his ear all the time and flooded with diarrohea of the antibiotics tmi lol, hoping he gets some teeth soon too has his bright red cheeks and nothing eases his gums x x xx

Hiya
Sequin i am glad you enjoyed your holiday, hopefully lo will still behave himself now your back in sunny britain! LOL.
Alfie has been good again today, and he has had 3 meals plus about 35 oz of milk, whoowhoo! Thats so much better then 24oz and no meals. i hope its going to stay this way now! I Know that with reflux they are in pain which makes them miserable but i also think because they cant drink as much they are also crying out of frustration because they are always hungry, Alfie chucked his whole bottle up last night and he woke at 4:30am because he was hungry. Then after 6oz slept soundly till 8am.
Hope you and your lo's are ok

Hey everyone
Well we are back from our holidays and........ we had a FAB time! George was an absolute star on the plane, all week he took his milk and food better than he has ever done and slept like a baby.... so we are moving to Portugal!! No only kidding but the medditeranean lifestyle definately suited him! It was also nice for me as I was able to relax a bit and managed a night out with DP whilst grandma and grandpa babysat

Havent had chance to catch up on all the posts but hope everyone is doing ok?
x

Definitely trying to keep a tight rein on the purse strings now, it's quite strange but I'm sure I'll get used to it!
And we haven't even ventured near the attic yet, or the garage...! But yes, people do buy the strangest things!
