Sorry ladies have been involved in stuff at home, so I've not dropped off the earth just yet. Charlotte is stll off her food and grumpy to boot, though thanks to calpol she's at least sleeping well (apart from right now, when she wants to sleep but can't!).

No not heard from Carla, hope she's ok.

It turns out Marie-Claire lives literally just down the road from me, like the next street! Funny eh? We chatted on Facebook this afternoon and I am meeting up with her on Wednesday.

hi girls she is awful ,marie claire (nicandliamsmum)is lovely me and carla have gone from being pregnant with her right up till now,so its nearly 14 months ,i just hate it when people have  a go at others ,i could claim dla for myself because of my blood disorder but i dont ,but if lennox has haemophilia then i would have to has we dont drive and he would need 3 trips a week to newcastle rvi which is 45mins from me ,and would cost me £16.00 return fair on train each time i went ,so that would be nearly £50.00 a week,i didnt know you could claim for severe reflux ,i think lennox would be entitled to it has he has had a ph probe 24 hour test and been endescoped ,and his consultant will only let me use boxes of food to mix with his milk has most he drinks is between 4-7 oz a day when his semi concious, and he has the hernia which doesnt help his feeding ,and the meds dont seem to help much , but i couldnt be bothered with the paperwork to claim it .in marie claires case i would claim it for reflux has her son was not diagnosed with it when he should have been so shes had years of problems and cant afford all these trips shes making to hospital ,anyway the joys of bounty lol

    hope you all ok?x xx

has anyone seen or heard from carla ?x x x x

    Hello there,

So glad Nathan seems to be happier. Lets hope it continues *fingers crossed*

Nicnoc- I'm also glad that Alfie too seems happier today, it's lovely when they have their good days. Makes all those hard days just fade away.

Catnkitten- How is your lo? Is she feeling any better? Hoping she hasn't got a bug, poor little lamb.

Brock is still sicky, even with the gaviscon, i'm holding out hope that he just needs time for it to kick in again, naive I know, but it's possible. (I think)

I was looking at his head circumference chart his head is the size of a 10 month baby!! Over the past 12 weeks there has been a significant increase in size, I hadn't noticed it before, until the last measurements were plotted. There seems to be some increase in fluid. Keeping my fingers crossed for Thursday. Just don't know how they're going to keep him still for the scan. He was a begger the last time they did it. He's a right wriggler lol.

Everyone is quiet today - is that a good or bad sign?

Nathan is still fairly good, only small mouthfalls of sick and we all had a lovely long sleep last night. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that it continues.

    How's Charlotte today?

    hi

thank you everyone for your words. It does help coming on here and venting.

mybaby bump. big hugs to you, you must be so worried.  Hope your appointment goes well on thursday.

catkitten. lol with the sick coming out  of the nose.  Thats how alfie is sick all the time.  Its scary but it also looks like something out of a horror movie.lol I hope lo starts to feel a little better soon.

I was at work today and i had the mood from hell until about 10.  Then i started to feel a little better.  By the end of the day i was buzzing again, phew!  Alfie was with a friend and she said he had been bad again today, feel quiet bad really as she is trying for lo and has had some probs and she has never looked after a kiddy before.

    Hope you are all well

    nic x

The doc reckons it's a UTI and should flush itself out in a couple of days. This wasnt her normal sick, this was everything including the calpol coming back followed by her choking, it came through her nose too poor love. She's coughed some more up since, and the nappy OH DEAR HEAVENS ABOVE!!! The doc asked if it was smelly, and she was fine at the time, but when I went to change it I could smell it from about 3 feet away and really made me retch. Sorry probably TMI! lol Will see how she gets on with tea, and if she's still the same tomorrow will take her to the docs (will try and take a urine sample with me), as you can't be too careful.

Not sure what to dress her in for bed though, whether she'll be too hot in her bag or whether I need to keep her warm!

Unless she's getting a tooth too - hat's what Nathan was like the other day, really whingy and sick and refused to eat much. I didn't take his temp though.

Hope it is and she isn't ill x

OK bad afternoon here. LO refused her bottle about halfway, which I thought odd. Wouldn't let me near her mouth at all, and I checked her temp was running about 37.4. Tried feeding her lunch but she wouldn't eat that either, and I had to virtually force a bit of calpol in her. She seemed happy when I held her but otherwise was really whingey. I picked her up, and no sooner was she lifted than she brought up everything. Everywhere. I forgot how much sick splashes miles away when you're standing up!

Waiting for the emergency doc to call back because our surgery's closed this afternoon (found that out AFTER walking there, it's about a minute away), and for some reason the NHS Direct number kept coming up unobtainable. I suspect she might be developing a cold (I have had one for a week) and there's nothing I can do but ride it out, but I am always worried being a first time mum.

After the sick and the walk outside she seems a bit better, she's just chilling in front of the TV playing with Pooh Bear. I even got a smile out of her!

On a happier note Nathan has gained 6oz this week and is now 15lb 10oz. He's gone up from nearly dropping to the 0.4th centile to the 9th

Don't get me started on the gaviscon. I have to wait until after 4pm today before I can pick up the prescription.

Couldn't get an appointment yesterday but not for the lack of trying. I was told to ring back after 12pm if it was an emergency and if they had a cancelation they would book him in, but lo and behold no cancellation so no appointment I am seriously considering moving doctors, they are useless.

Although according to HV the vomiting may not be reflux (as he never did vomit) his was always silent. It could be increased inter-cranial pressure, kind of hoping it's the reflux as the whole fluid thingy is far too scary to contemplate.

I had never heard of hydrocephalus before I had Brock either.

i hope it goes ok, still anothe week of worry though isn't it? Your not having fun at the moment are you

I wonder if it has any connection to reflux?  That's what annoys me about doctors when they say they will grow out of it because sometimes there is an underlying cause and they just don't bother to look for it.

I've never heard of that before. Good luck to you and Brock for next Thursday and hope it all turns out OK. Have you managed to get your gaviscon yet?
