To start with I gave baby rice on its own then gradually added veg to it, ie: Sweet potato, swede, carrot etc.. just one at a time, also fruit, stewed apple or pear is good.  When they are 6 months you can then really give any foods (but not honey, nuts runny eggs etc.)  Basically before 6 months its mainly veg/fruit/baby rice then after 6 months its any meat, pasta, wheat any pretty much anything else.  I give weetabix, ready brek or porridge for breakfast but again only after 6 months, hth.

Hello, My ds isnt 6 months until 7th sept but then i want to start weaning onto 'normal' foods iykwim! What would you start to introduce? love the scrambled egg & beans idea.... yum! One spoon for baby, two for mummy i think!

You just need to make sure the egg is throughly cooked.

Mine is 7 months in 2 days time - yep time to move on to 7-12 months !!
