Hi - have just got back from 2 weeks in Florida and like you was getting myself all worried about getting food onto the flights.  At Gatwick I took 2 full bottles of milk, 1 jar of Cow and Gate concentrate juice (Harriet is turning into a bit of a juice fiend) and 2 cartons of milk.  At security I had to taste everything - but not food in jars as its less than 100ml and couldnt take the cartons through as it would have meant opening them.  I bought a couple of cartons from Boots once through security so all was fine.

You might want to think about getting one of those milk powder dispensers - they have them in Boots, so you can take 3 feeds unmade and then make them up on the plane - Boots also had individual pre-sterilized bottles so I took them and that worked well.

After stressing about the flights - everything worked really well and there were no problems what so ever!  Get yourself organised and then try and relax - its sposed to be a holiday after all!!

if you call the airline you are flying with you can request baby foodfor all meals they offer onboard, they offered us hipp organic jar food but lo was only 10 weeks at this point. I am flying again in Oct and the airline asked if we wanted a baby meal. It just saves you buying some, carrying it etc..They also heated all bottles for me in jugs of hot water not micro, as I took my own wee bowl to heat all bottles the airsteward thought this was the cutest thing and told me that they do it all for mums and would never use a micro, wish I had know her change bag was so laden down...lol

Also I was advised by the airline to carry lo's milk in bottles not cartons, as on international flights at security they can be really strict, at heathrow lo was sleeping and they made me take her out of stroller and put the stroller through the baggage scanner! I also had to drink the bottles there as well. I have flown international and domestic flights and find international slightly stricter. But as pp say it depends on which airport you are flying from.

I flew from Stansted in July and did not have to taste my milk cartoons, they said as they weren't open they were fine.  I have water in a bottle and thermos and was asked to taste that.  The water in the thermos was boiling so I said I wasn't sure if I could taste it and the guys said not to worry then.  They're quite relaxed about baby stuff really.  But you can buy both milk and food after security if you don't want the hassle of tasting.

Every airport is different tho so it depends where you're flying from.
