Thanks everyone. I think I will give them all a go as although it doesn't bother him it just looks really sore.
gogglediguk - do you just put the oilatum in the bath or is it a different kind? We have some for dd's eczema but never thought about using it, unless there's also a cream which is what you mean in which case I'll feel a bit daft!!

my daughter has this and i have been prescribed with oilatum it clears it right up !!!!
its something to dod with the lack ofmoisture in the skin that causes the rash . hope this bit of advice helps if you choose to try it .

I put nappy rash cream on dd when she gets one and that clears it up. Bepanthenam or whatever its called.

yes i agree with PP talc is great, I am careful using it though and this is the only place I do. she normally just had a red mark right in on the crease but due to dribbling a rash has developed aswell. hubby has to hold her in the air like a plane in order for ger to lift her chin up so I can get the talc on, otherwise i just miss the spot completely can her neck is that chubby hehehehehehehehehehe

wash it, make sure its completely dry then put some talc on it xxx

Ds has a rash under his neck and I know it is from his dribbling and those sneaky bits of milk that always escape down his chin. However, he's had it for a few weeks and it won't clear up. It doesn't help that he's not sitting up properly by himself so he spends a lot of time with his chin resting on his chest which makes it difficult to get air to it. I try and make sure it's dry all the time and put vaseline on it throughout the day. Does anyone have any wonder cures they can share with me? Thank you.

it might need some cream from docs hun like an anti fungal if its not clearing up
