Kiernan was born on 31st march, and when he was weighed two weeks ago, he was 19lb 13oz. He has 3 7oz bottles a day, and 3 or sometimes 4 meals.

My DD is 23 weeks and she weigheed 13lb 6oz last time she was weighed 2 weeks ago - so i suspect she is somewhere around the region of 13lb 12oz now. She is on 3 meals a day and 5 bottles of 5oz. xx

Hi. Had my lo weighed today. He is 5.5 weeks and he weighs 19lb14o. Lo has always been a bigger baby than most his age in my area but the hv always say they are happy with his weight gain. My lo has about 2/3 meals a day depending on how settled he seems to be and has about 4-5 ounces of milk afta his meal. I wouldn't worry about ur Lo's weight, as you said, you cant not give ur lo what they need.

My dd is 18lb 12 and very happy we started weaning at 17 wks and her weight gain has slowed down as she was gaining quite a bit of weight each week.
If you wean your baby he might feel fuller longer and his weight will slow down as well.
I started off with half the recommended baby rice amount and then increased it over a month with 3-4 oz of milk at each feed after the rice or veg or whatever.
She is 6mths in a few days and i've increased the rice to a full amount and now on 3 meals a day and her weight gain has slowed down and is now at a steady pace.
Dont worry tooo much about his weight my hv said that if baby gets sick it means they have enough to lose a few pounds whilst being poorly so i'd sooner my lo be over the recommended amount than under it!!!!
Remember when they start moving about more they will lose weight or slim down as they grow!!

My DS is 18lb 8.5oz (yesterday) and that is with him not gaining weight for 7 weeks (due to dairy intollerance and reflux!) So cant even begin to imagine how much he would have been. He isnt on solids yet, he drinks 7oz every 3 hours and like you, he gets what he needs. Once he starts crawling etc, his weight gain will start to even out. My eldest DS was 24lbs by 7 months but isnt fat by any means now. He's a happy, healthy 3 yr old with far too much energy, lol!!

hi my dd was born 31st march and i had her weihed yesterday she was 18lb 2oz, started weaning her at 19 wks as she wasnt takin hardly any milk and really fussy. Evie has bout 3-4oz with a full jar and is on 3 meals a day.
I think ur lo is fine they will only take what they want, my ds was the opposite and was also v hungry baby but started to settle down bout 8-9 months x

my ds is 5 1/2 months, he weighs 20lb, hv said he is overweight but he is hungry and drinking 7 ozs every 3.5 hours, started weaning him onto rice and rusk last week, when he has them, he drinks 4 or 5ozs of milk, is this normal? cant do anything different though as i cant not feed him what he needs x

Baby Jack is 23 weeks and weighs 18lb and is still being breastfed. You will find that all babies are different as they have different needs. My hv said to me that if Jack had been weaned early he would be bloody huge!!!!!! I will be starting the weaning programme on Monday (6/10)
