Thanks for replying. Thats it then I am going to start putting 1 or 2 light blankets on her as well as sleep sac. I know they say the sleep sac is supposed to be sufficient but I really dont think it is. I feel a bit mean not having the heating on for her all night but heating costs have gone up so much recently I really dont think we could afford to have it on of a night as well as day time as well.

my ds is the same he wears the same and has 2.5leep bag but i do put 2 blankets on him one quite thick but only over his bottom half as he might suffocate. did put his heater on aswell. he woke up in a better mood this morn with warmer hands than usual so he must be warm now finally

Hi, my dd sleeps in a long sleeve vest, a sleep suit and a 2.5 tog sleep sac, which was fine up until about 3 nights ago it seems. She was sleeping right through the night but the last 3 nights she has been waking and I am not sure if this is because the temperature has dropped and she is getting cold. Last night for instance she woke in the night and i put her into my bed for a little while under the covers and she smiled up at me and went straight to sleep. Then I put her back in her cot and put a blanket over the top of the sleep sac and she slept through. I have to say her hands, even though i put mittens on her at night, are freezing in the mornings. I hate the thought that she might be cold at night, it was 16 degrees in the bedroom last night, actually i was even quite cold but the 2.5 tog sleep sacs are supposed to be for winter use are they not? what do you think?

I live in Tasmania, Australia and we're just coming out of Winter (thank God!) But it gets really cold here in Winter and the bloody houses are not designed for cold weather, no double glazing, no central heating, not much insulation, etc.
My youngest ds is 4.5 months old now and on really cold nights he's been sleeping with a long sleeve vest, socks, baby gro, cardigan, mittens (which make a huge difference btw, bubbies seem to really hate cold hands) booties, sleeping bag and hat and that's all before he's even in his cot!
My 2.5 year old toddler was only a baby when we came over here and it was winter then too. He was the same, had been sleeping through the night. But when it started to get colder he started waking at night. We started putting mittens on him and even that made a difference. So even if you try just putting mittens on. In fact it's not even mittens my ds wears, it's two pairs of little velour booties, two on each hand lol!
