No teeth yet, but he does have a good chomp on his hands and dribbles loads!!

Iv always been quite strict not giving him a dummy at bedtime (if he wakes at 5am thats a differnt matter and the plug is in lol) Not sure how i did it really think uv just got to bite the bullet and stick with it, he's been ace at bedtime last few wks (prob just jinxed myself).

Wish i could be as strict when it comes to him napping in his cot during the day... iv made the mistake of letting him kip on the sofa and now he's wriggling iv realised the error in my ways lol and now wont go in his cot during the day.

Gonna have to shoot hun, shattered, speak soon xx

Ye he started rolling about 2weeks ago and now i cant leave him on the bed and when i put him on the floor hes on the other side of the room within seconds!! he hated being on his tummy but as soon as he could roll onto it himself he loved it!! Is ur lo teething yet? mine isnt but hes had a bad couple of nights so im thinking he might be starting to cz hes normally a good sleeper! How did u get rid of the dummy because i cant settle him to sleep without it, ts a nightmare but i so desperatly want to get him off it?! x

That must have been difficult. I made the decision to not breastfeed before Matthew was born and when i was on the ward i heard this woman cry all night because her lo wouldnt latch on and i felt so sorry for her, it must be difficult. I was quite selfish in deciding not to breastfeed because i didnt think id be able to cope and he was a nightmare at first especially in the night so it meant my df could help me out.

Is ur lo crawling? When i put my lo on the floor he tries to get on his knees and pushes his bum up but ends up falling on his side and rolling over instead, its so funny!!

yes remember now saw your routine on another thread. He's exactly same but my ds has food b4 bottle at lunch and tea time.

Yeah he's formula fed, tried b/f whilst in hospital but because he so early he just wasn't intrested so i switched to bottle. He developed jaundice too and i was paranoid he wasn't getting enough fluids. xxx

Ye its fine, nice being able to ask someone else who has a lo the same age.  This is his routine:

8am - 7/8oz feed and baby rice/cereal about half an hour later

12pm - 7/8oz feed and he usually has his dinner straight after

    4pm - 7/8oz feed

5pm - Pudding which is fruit normally

    7pm - 7/8oz feed

He normally has to wait a while for his food apart from at lunch time where he is so hungry he has them at the same time!! so is ur lo formula or breast fed?

Think i may start giving him a pudding at lunch time aswell, apart from that he's exactly same as your ds. We also had the prob with dummy, i refuse to give it him at bedtime now, he just has a muslim sq ( he like to rub it on his face lol) He sleeps loads better now.

do u still give your lo bottle straight after food or do u leave it for a while??

sorry thought id ask lots of q's as so similar in age xxxxx

Well he has baby rice or baby cereal for breakfast. For dinner around 12pm he has almost a tub full which is about the size of a jar and he has a full jar amount for pudding, would probably have more pudding if he could, hes got a sweet tooth!! Hes still having four 7/8oz bottles aswell, used to be 5 but he dropped one recently. He sleeps through normally but he has a dummy and i normally end up getting up about 5times to put it back in!!!

corrrr i know could u imagine if id gone full term, that would've really hurt!!!! Coz he was early he was slow to feed, but think because he was always meant to be big, he's just turned into a really hungry baby to make up for it.

How much is your lo having with re:solids?? Thinking of upping his amounts abit because he seems to be getting hungrier again xxxxxx

lol bout the bananas n brocoli 2gether!!! Yeah my ds loves his puree aswell, i did a video of him having his dinner today to show dp. He's sooo funny everytime he sees the spoon coming towards him he gets really excited and starts to bounce in his chair... of cors makes it harder for me to get it his mouth, we end up in a old right mess. He sits ok in his highchair but only for short stints... it'll prob be like his bumbo, its taken him ages to get used to that aswell. xxx

Ye i sit my lo on the sofa (its leather so easy clean) but i cant wait for him to go in a highchair because he drives me crazy as he wont sit still!!  I will probly just try with things like broccoli and bananas (not together) as theyre easy enough to eat but i know what you mean about meal times!! It would be a bit late for my lo as he has bath at 6.30, bottle at 7 then bed at 7.30 so it would be a bit late for him to eat too. Hes doing so well with his purees at the minute tho and he starts to whinge if i dont get the spoon in his mouth quick enough!!

Yeah its definately the choking part that worries me too. I feed him in his bouncer at the min so wont even attempt it until he's sitting confidently in his highchair.  With BLW the other thing that puzzles me is how much they actually eat and how much they just play with??!! Im all for letting him explore but wouldn't want messy mealtimes to last all day ..lol. Think ill stick with purees for while yet then just offer finger foods between meals, like said prob during our tea.

Am puzzled how tea times will work because eventually id like him to eat what we eat with us at the table, but we dont eat till 6 and he has his tea at 3.30/4 ... maybe he'll just have 2teas lol xxx

Not doing it at the mo but was thinking of starting when he gets nearer to 6months, just worry about him choking!! Dont think hew struggle getting the food in his mouth as theats where his hands always are!

He's just 24 wks so were not doing BLW, he enjoys his purees and because he's a hungry baby i like to know he's getting enough at mealtimes. I will have a go at finger foods when he's 6 months and am planning on offering him things whilst were eating evening tea just to get him involved a bit. R u doing it with your lo??? xx

Ye i guess it would taste pretty crap if it had no sugar!! Erm, not sure about the freezing thing because i dont freeze any of my los food. I just find it more of a hassle defrosting it and warming it so i make his meals for the day the night before and refigerate them then take them out and warm them or bring to room temp when i need them. sorry
