So many on the 23rd like my Jess! She was born at 12.32am though so only just the 23rd. For some reason, this really confused the doctors in the hospital as to many days old she was, weird! I don't really know if that makes her a scorpio or libra. We kind of wanted her to be a scorpio, but think she's right on the cusp. For those worrying about development, don't! Anything is normal, all babies develop at different rates. I have a very early developer movement-wise and she drives me crazy trying to keep up with her. She isn't particularly developed on other stuff though. Do you know there was a baby boom last year? Does anyone else worry about class sizes for when they're in school!! Little early to start worrying, but hey you know, now I'm a Mum, it's par for the course!!
im a october mummy to,malachy was born on the 23rd weighing 7lb 8oz xx
Hi Nikki, it sounds like Eilidh is doing really well. I wouldn't worry, all babies are different and go out at their own pace. I'm sure over the next couple of weeks you'll see lots of changes in him and he'll be up and speedily crawling all over the place!
Cheers Scootersam, I think been born an Occy baby is pretty cool too. So your other lo must be a September baby then and looks a right old cutie, bless!
Well Lucas is much better today with his teeth and seems back to his normal happy self. I brought "Nelsons" for his teething and used one last night. It's a homeopathic thing and I'm in two minds as to whether it worked or the pain just eased off. I'm always a bit sceptical about these sort of things... what about anyone else?
My lo is not Oct, but my 6 year old daughter is 18th October - just wanted to say that she is such a lovely kid so I reckon its a great sign to be born under!!! Hope your lo's all turn out as sweet and kind as she is
My lo, however, is gonna be a monkey, I just know it already (10 months) !!!!
Hey everyone, havn't been on for ages. Little Eilidh was born 23/10/08, 12 days late and weighing 8lb 10, and after reading all ur posts I am a little bit worried! She has no interest in crawling or pulling herself up whatsoever although she is very fast in her walker1 She has 2 bottom teeth and makes lots of different noises. She does want on to her feet and takes little steps if you are holding her1 Does anyone think she is a bit underdeveloped? I'm a first time single mum so I panic incase u think I'm being silly lol!
Hi my son Terry was born the 23rd of october 07 he was four days late, he has got just the two bottom teeth, he has only just started to crawl so i have to have eyes everywhere and he loves his baby walker but at the minute he only knows how to go backwards.
amanda
i think calebs first tooth is comeg through now yayyyy...
ive posted before but he was born on the 19th.....
Oh yeah, and she has two teeth which she got at about 7 months.
Hi, Lucy was born 16th October, 7lb 7oz, think she's about 17lb now. She's quite petite but also rubbish at eating - no lumpy food, no finger food except rusk and breadsticks, in fact she only actually likes weetabix and fromage frais, despite the hours I spend making Annabel Karmel recipes!! She claps, waves, gives kisses, rolls over and all over the place but no crawling. She won't even put her feet down when you lift her so certainly can't stand up yet - it's like she's trying to fold herself up! I'm a bit worried actually, I thought it was a natural reaction for baby's to put their feet down??
thankyou. peters the same tall and more muscle than fat and has been very active since birth he weighed 17lb 2oz last time i got him weighed about 2 weeks ago so dont believe what they said about her weight being low.
Sounds like a load of bull to me, but what would I know, lol!! Jess still has no teeth, and is also trying to walk, but I think both things can happen anytime. If her teeth are waiting for her to conserve some energy and stop moving around, they'll never come through!! I am a bit fed up with being told that her weight is low though. 7lb3oz at birth, 17lbs two weeks ago. She is tall, but all muscle and no fat (unlike me!). I read that they level off a bit at 10 months or so, as they are more active. As she's always been really really active from an early age, I'm guessing this is why she's not fatty, but doctors just want you to feel guilty huh?!
hello my son was born 17th october, he is crawling and standing up and walking across the sofa. he doesnt have any teeth yet.
My h.v said that he will be waliking before he gets is teeth because his body cant cope with the fact hes trying to walk as its taking up to much energy or something like that. could anyone tell if they have heard this before or is it all a load of bull?
thankyou
My twins were born 31st october
They were 22 days early and weighed 7lbs and 6lbs 13
They are now both crawling and getting into mischief together lol.
Leah has 1 tooth and Dylsan can pull 2 standing
The difference in the two babies is amazing and there great fun to watch

My lo Alexia was born October 12th. Like the OP's lo, she suffered badly from reflux, but she is ok now, apart from the fact that she has cut out all milk! She refuses any! Even if we try to trick her into drinking she spits it out and refuses it.
She is crawling really well, and has just started pulling herself up onto things and attempting to cruise.
