Can we join the October club please.  Ellie was born 12th Oct weighing 7lb 3oz.  Now 17lb 10oz and has been crawling for about 6 weeks.  No teeth yet but lots of dribble so I think they're on their way!  Sleeps through the night and is slowly growing out of reflux (hooray!!).  Won't eat lumpy food off a spoon but will happily munch on anything off my plate ).  Loving this stage of her little life xx

Sympathise with the earlier post (becs I think?) - ds was 8 months yesterday. No teeth, no crawling BUT he cruises round the furniture, tries to climb things, can stand on his own (as long he thinks we're holding on - lol!) and pushes his little brick trolley around the room totally unaided. Can't put him on his bum for more than a few minutes before he wants to be back on his legs again. But he's great entertainment. I could spend hours watching him walking back and forth across the room with his brick trolley - he looks so proud of himself. All I have to do is turn him round when he gets to the side of the room so he can go back again - lol! I think he manages so well because he's such a dinky little thing - 16lbs when weighed today - so he's not got a lot of weight to support on his little legs

Another Jessica, born 23rd Oct. Ladies please don't wish away this quiet time for yourselves! My Jess is such a liability, she was commando crawling at 5 months, still uses her face for some reason but not all the time, but she is so close to walking that I doubt she'll bother to do it properly. Been cruising for weeks, now standing alone for several seconds, climbs EVERYTHING (especially me), destroyed her playpen, almost climbing out of it anyway, rolls her travelcot along the floor from inside it like, constantly hits her head from slipping whilst climbing the next Everest, although she's pretty good at letting herself down more gently now. She has no fear and a very hard head, gave me a half black eye few weeks ago. As for sleeping, she rolls all over the place, occasionally still sleeps on her back, but on tum, side, upside down, bum in air, around my arm (we co-sleep). once they can lift their heads, and there is nothing loose in cot, it's fine. We just ran out of Gaviscon today (we live abroad) so will see if her reflux is back. Honestly I love her so much, she's gorgeous but if all babies were this active, I think they would all be only children. I am so tired!

Hi, Benjamin was born on 5th Oct, he was 7lb 12 and is now about 24lb!  He has 2 teeth.  Kind of crawls in a style no one has ever seen before!  He keeps trying to pull himself up on the sofa & says mama & dada.  He also sleeps on his tummy most of the time.

Hi Joshua was born on 27/10.07 weighing 8lb 10 he know ways 25lb 5 oz and was told off for him being overweight at baby clinic but on his 8 month check Hv was very happy. I breast fed till he was 4 months then weaned him as he was alway hungary. He only has 9 oz at bedtime and normal milk with breakfast h said that's fine as he is having yoghurts ect.. He walks well holding onto our fingers but not so confident with the stroller, He can't crawl or really roll over but does manage to get about ( i have no idea how) i tries to pull him self up on the sofa. He feeds him self finger food and he always has a smile on his face . Oh he has 2 teeth and doesn't sleep though..

I had pre-eclampsia and went into hospital at 32 weeks.  Toby was born at 35 weeks on 11th October and weighed 4lbs 5oz.  He breastfed almost constantly and gained weight really well.  He's now 8 and a half months and weighs18lbs 3oz.  He has taken longer than some other babies to do some things, but I don't think this is because he was early - just taking his time!  HV really pleased with him at his 8 month check, said he shows no signs of being premature.  To the other Mummys whose babies aren't crawling yet - let's make the most of it - it won't be long before we're chasing after them all day long!

Well we had our 8 month check today, all's fine, although is head is a bit on the small side apparently.. not that you'd notice.. it's not like beetlejuice or anything LOL!

Got him measured, weighed etc and had a chat about his diet and sleeping patterns! Plus you do get some nice free reading books, from bookstart, so we'll have a look at those tomorrow. Haven't had him weighed for 3 weeks but he was 20.9 @ 38 weeks.

Well Lucas is moving so quick now... he managed to pull our telephone table over and on top of himself earlier... so had to take him to HV visit with a nice big old bruise on his head! He's just gone off to sleep without a peep tonight as he was knackered bless. Thought he might play up a bit as daddy is away on a stag do and thought he might miss his normal bedtime routine, bless xx

Hi izzyfin, Theo was very early so was on pre-aptamil for 3 months, but since then he has been on aptamil, cow and gate, farleys and have just bought a box of sma, we swap backwards and forwards, he's had sma before. It has never bothered him, to be honest there isn't much difference between the milk.,I don't think he notices the difference. I can't remember who suggested swapping around to me but it has been the best thing i could ever have done x

Thanx Kazza and Woolfy,  think i've just got a lazy baby, if she can't reach what she wants she just turns her cheek and goes for something else closer to her.  Maybe have to be bit meaner and move her things away from her hee-hee!

Will keep trying, she likes her ball but only if i'm rolling it to her. You're right tho, when she does start  moving,i'm sure i'll be wishing she would stay  put!!
