Lol - typing when you're drunk! Jake slept from 7.15pm till 6.40am this morning, Woohoo!!!

Morning ladies,
Well you'll be pleased to know I am not suffering too badly and Archie woke at 7.15 - I gave him his bottle and he stayed in bed until nearly 8am bless him. It was dp's turn to get up anyway! Sorry about the waffle last night. It was a good party though with a live band - dd had a great time but she is shattered this morning!
DB - how are you feeling, any better? Yes I completely understand what you are saying now I am sober
- pastry could make you poorly if not stored properly. Have you complained to the garage - I think I would just to make a point.EH + KC - good nights, I really can't believe how much all our lo's have improved (well you know what I mean) - do you think it is/was a phase they were going through. OMG, they''ll probably all be up at 5 again tomorrow now I've said that! Kim, I love the new pic of Jack, he's so cute and looks like a proper little boy now. I think I will change Archie's picture later! Can't believe he'll be a year old this time next week - I'm so excited!!
Well have a good day all - dp has gone for a walk with Archie to blow away the cobwebs as he puts it - I now have a mountain of washing to tackle (and yes DB, probably the ironing too).
Oh by the way, I did a car boot sale yesterday to sell mostly Archie's things he has grown out of - I sell everything quite cheap, clothes etc for 50pish and I made £60! Not bad is it and I quite enjoyed it.

Well another good night, Jack was asleep at 6.45pm and went thru til 6am! Cut his morning nap yesterday without any real problems. Long may this last. At last the sun is shining here in Norwich, so think we will go out today.
DB - Hope you are feeling better today, food poisoning is awful, I had it once from chicken on a bbq and I thought I was going to die!
SS - Oh dear, a hangover and an early start, not a good combination, thats why I dont drink alcohol, I just eat chocolate! DP seems a bit sluggish this morning, I think it might be the wine he had last night! No wonder he seemed less than enthusiastic when Jack woke at 6am, it was his turn to get up!
EH - Jack only had 1oz of milk last night!!! before bed, but he had eaten so much food in the day, I did wonder if he would wake up, but not a sound. He had loads of cheese/yoghurts etc, so am not going to worry to much.
Hope you all have a lovely BH monday. Kimx

Touching a large plank of wood Eve has gone through to 6.15 this morning and 6.50 yesterday morning. She did wake about 10pm both nights and I topped her up with some milk as she's only been taking 5/6oz at bedtime. I did hear her cry in the night, I think but she resettled.
I'm still knackered though as we didn't go to bed till 11.30pm so waking up at 6.15 feels very early! x

Lol Scootersam, I can tell you've been been to a party and had a few too many, lol!! I hope you had a great time and that you're feeling ok this morning!! Re: the sausage rolls / or the fresh pasta. I was thinking that perhaps they hadn't been stored properly in the garage, or their freezer had gone off and been turned back on again and they'd just sold them anyway. I think funny things happen to food, even veggie sausages, if they are not stored properly. Or maybe it is just a virus, but noone else seems to have it, touch wood!!! Anyway, how did everyone get on last night? Grace did about 7.45 until 6, when she woke and happily sat playing in the biggest pile of poo ever. Thank god for gro bags is all I can say, at least it contains it all in one area. xx
24/8/08 23:21
DB it sounds odd it could be the LM sausage rols? I eat them lots and have always been fine, I don't think there is anything in them that could give you food poisining, but you never know i guess. Well have been to a parth, had few wines (as if you couldn;t tell so hoping lo won't wakle early tom - although my turn for a lie-in!). GOd I am too old for this now, dd (age 6) out=partied me! Rigjht better get some sleep ... nighjt
24/8/08 20:59
It only lasted one night for me and out of my friends and family the longest lasting bout was 3 days, that was my friends baby but he wasn't throwing up the whole time, just one day and night, then he was just off his food. He took dioralyte and was fine xx
24/8/08 20:25
Oh god, I hope not, I don't want to spread something like that about. How long did it last? I'm not too bad today, although completely knackered. I was asleep for 2 hours this afternoon, and think i'm going to go to bed in a minute as well. I hope it was food posioning, it would be really scary if lo got something like that. xx
24/8/08 20:21
I had a sickness bug a while ago, I was throwing up ALL night even when my stomach was empty. I thought it was food poisoning but then all my friends and family got it aswell! Whatever it was, it was highly contageous, so may be it was a virus??
24/8/08 11:18
Well done Kim, thats great.. Scootersam, I can't decide if it was the fresh pasta on Friday night, or the Linda mccartney sausage rolls yesterday lunchtime. After spending most of last night with my head in the toilet though its put me off both for life!!! I was saving a sausage roll for Grace, but I've chucked them in the bin now, just in case. I'd love to go to oz, was thinking about going to New Zealand a few weeks ago as I have a friend who lives in the south island. I think the flight is about 18 hours though, and I just don't know that Grace, (or the other passengers for that matter) could handle the distance without her screaming the place down. It would be lovely to go though. xx
24/8/08 11:07
Ugh, I'd love to move to another country! 6.50am this morning!!!
24/8/08 10:39
Great news Kim, really pleased for you. Would love to see Jack's hair - can you upload a picture. I was growing Archie's as I wanted it "surf dude" type
Not so sure now, its going wavy and out of control! DB - really sorry to hear you have food poisoning - what did you have from the garage? I had samonella years ago (think I said during egg white thread!) and it was AWFUL. Drink plenty of fluid.
Well I was doing a car boot sale today to clear some of Archie's ever growing mountain of too small clothes, but that went belly up when the alarm went off just after 6 and I saw the weather!! Kim - where has the summer gone??? Just been looking up Oz on the net, had enough of this country !!!

Morning everyone
Well success here as well. Jack went to sleep at 6.50pm and woke at 6am! Thats the longest ever. He did disturb once at 11pm and again at 5am for his dummy, but thats not a problem. I really feel we are getting there. He is having a nap at the mo, only going to let him have an hour, then wake him, fingers crossed he isnt too grumpy.
Took Jack for his first haircut yesterday, bless he was so funny. Obviously all the brihgt lights and mirrors, lovely display shelves with brightly packaged shampoos and conditioners were an instant magnet, I had him in his buggy, but oh no, he wasnt just going to sit there whilst mummy had her hair cut!! lol, one of the trainee staff took him out of the buggy, I did warn her that he wouldnt sit still, he was off, across the floor like a whirlwind. It was so funny, this poor girl was chasing after him! When my hairdresser approached with the scissors, he was fascinated, until she started cutting his hair. In the end, he had to stand up on my lap, facing me, whilst Jo cut his hair in little snips, with another hairdresser waving toys, magazines etc to keep his attention. He does look so smart, just like a proper little boy. I have kept his hair, to put in his memory box, and she didnt charge me either!
Well its pouring with rain here in Norwich, so the plans for a walk to the park and the swings, might need rethinking. Can only hope tomorrow is nicer. Where exactly has summer gone? Hope you all have nice days whatever you do. Kimx
24/8/08 09:25
Well done everybody, progress at last
Grace went to bed at 6.30am and got up at 6.45am. She didn't wake at all, thank goodness, as I went down with food posioning last night, (bloody garage food, am never buying from there again,) so it would have been a nightmare if she had been up all night. xx24/8/08 08:18
Oh, also forgot to say Archie is now walking. Its obviously tiring him out loads so if any of you have lo's that are not yet walking, there is hope that when they do they will be so tired they will sleep longer!!
24/8/08 08:17
Hey excellent news HA. I "think" we may too have cracked it - not sure how but lo has slept much later this past month. I'm sure it coincides with dd's school holidays, i.e. being out and about and him not sleeping as much during the day because he is fighting sleep in his pram now. Yesterday he woke at 7.40!! Today was 6.30, but god it so much better than 5.30am. He has also been going to bed a little later - he used to go at 6.30 because he was shattered by then, but now he can stay awake (happily!) until 7/7.30, which I guess shifts the whole sleep pattern forward that hour.
Anyway I'm so glad everyone seems to be having some improvement. Long may it last!!
23/8/08 12:57
Last night he went down at 7pm and slept till 5.30, he woke breifly, moaned a bit and then went back to sleep by himself until 6.15am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't want to speak too soon but I think we MAY have cracked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
23/8/08 10:14
Well done HA, thats really good news. Kim, the only thing I can think of, which you have already been doing, is to shorten that morning nap, but also try and push it back as late as you can, 9am would be good if you can keep Jack up that long, so that he isn't using it as part of his night time sleep. It sounds like it is working a bit already if he went until 5.25 this morning. Grace went from 6.30 until 7 today, but I know that this isn't going to be the norm unfortunately. I was out all afternoon yesterday and she wouldn't nap in her pram so she was exhausted. She was so bad tempered yesterday though that it wasn't worth it for the small lie in this morning. xx
23/8/08 09:15
Thank for that HA
This morning it was 5.25am, so thats better than yesterday and I shortened his am nap and he slept longer in the afternoon. Like your lo, Jack has significantly increased his food intake as well. In the last 3 wks, he has crawled, starting cruising furniture and is now walking at every opportunity, with his walker, or holding my hands! He has also cut his first tooth - my baby is becoming a little man! He is also having his first haircut today, well thats the plan - just hope he will sit still long enough!
I am being realistic, I cannot ever imagine him sleeping 7-7 (thats my dream), but 6am would be so much nicer than 5.25am. We watch the olympics at the mo, goodness knows what we will do when its over!lol If anyone has any ideas/tips, it would be appreciated. Thanks again kim x

Hey ladies,
Am writing without having read all the threads as I have been away for ages and need to catch up - went back to work, dd got ill, pc broke, currently decorating various rooms in the house - means I haven't logged on for ages.
So how is everyone doing? we are doing OK. dd now generally wakes up between 6am and 7am. Am trying to suss out why some days it is 6am and some days it is 7am but not having any luck, so maybe that is just the way it is
just short at sweet as am meant to be working!
