does anyone know if i would be entitled to benefits if i did stop work. my df works full time.

If both you and your partner, if you have one, work over 16 hours a week you may get help with childcare costs through Tax Credits. If you can't give up work and have no other family or friends to care for your lo you're going to have to go down the nursery, creche or childminder route really.

help. my mil looks after my son when i work 3 afternoons per week. she informed us today that she is going back to uni 4 days a week so wont be able to continue.
i dont know what to do. we cant afford other child care or for me to give up work.
any ideas of any options we might have would be really appreciated.
