my lo is just the opposite. he will eat anything but will not have his milk (he's intolerant to lactose so has special milk which is vile!) most days he only has 6-8oz milk and barely drinks anything else either, water, juice tea, you name it I've tried it, it's such a worry that they don't eat or drink though isn't it? you get to the point where you dread feeding them don't you!

Katyd79, i think ur little one and mine are twins. Total food phobics hey!!! I read this and felt sick in the stomach. kaylin eats hardly anything just like yours. Totally refuses most things that go in her mouth unless it is yoghurt or fruit purees. Will eat some finger foods - toast, bread with cheese spread, cheese cubes, breadsticks, brocoli and organix carrot sticks. Refuses all savoury nearly every meal time, homemade or jar. She does enjoy breaky but will have approx half a weetabix if that. She has approx 16-18oz milk a day, 3 bottles.

    Not happywendi

I know how you feel about refusing food,I'm having the same problem. I know Kale is only 6 1/2 months but he turns up is nose at just about everthing that i make for him and jars. We did have a short spell where he did eat the jars but then i tried him on the stage 2 jars and he wasn't playing ball. He quite happily eats his weetabix in a morning but come dinner time its a fight. I've spoken to the health visitor and she advised me that if he won't eat his dinner don't gave him any milk, so that when tea time comes he will be that hungry he will eat the food, but he just screams the house down.

Wow, I can't believe it reading this, you are all doing so well with feeding.  I feel like such a failure.  Lucy is 10 months and has:

7am - 1/2 - 3/4 weetabix and whole milk  & a 6oz bottle that she splits and finishes before her nap

11.45am/12 - usually refuses all savoury purees, occasionally a few spoonfuls will go in and if it's even slightly lumpy food, forget it.  Very fussy with finger food, she will eat breadstick or Organix carrot sticks but that's it.  So I usually give in and let her have a pot or jar of smooth fruit puree and a fromage frais or yoghurt.

2.30pm - 3oz bottle (I want to cut this out but am afraid she's not eating enough other stuff)

5pm - tea is the same palaver as lunchtime.  If she does eat a bit better I might let her have a piece of reduced-sugar rusk.

    7pm - 7/8oz bottle

I've spent hours pureeing homemade food for her (usually rejected), mushing homemade food down so it's still a bit lumpy (always rejected), tried different jars etc.  I'm at my wits end.  I dream of the day that she'll eat what we eat and more than a few spoonfuls of anything.

Hi, my lo is 10mths and has:

Breakfast 8:00 7oz milk, 1 weetabix with whole milk.

Mid morning snack: raisens/grapes/breadstick/organix biscuit etc

Lunch 12:15: sandwich/spaghetti on toast etc, with 3 organix carrot stick crisps, either pot of fruit or youghurt.

Dinner 5:00: homemade dinner, spag bol/mild chilli/roast dinner/fish fingers/sausages and mash, and a dessert of the opposite to lunch either fruit or yoghurt.

    Bed 6:30: 8oz milk

She basically has everything we have. As dh and I tend to eat later in the evening, I tend to keep lo's to the side for the next day. Where possible I also freeze an extra portion.

hiya charleys 10mth next week n has:-

    6am booby feed

    8am breakfast (2rusks/1 weetabix)

    10am snack (yog/fruit)

    12 lunch (jacket spud wi beans/sandwich with fingers cucumber+organix crisps/2ak cubes)+fruit (melon/strawberrys/grapes)

    2pm snack (toast+fruit)

    3.30pm booby feed

4.30pm tea (usually wot we have cottage pie, spag bol, fish n veg or 2ak cubes)+ pud

    7.30pm supper (2rusks/3tbl porridge)+booby feed n bed

ak cubes are anabel karmel cube trays if u didnt know. charley usually eats all or most of 2 just depends wot mood shes in. she will eat anything and everything if she has same as us i usually fill her bowl 3/4 full n most of the time she will eat nearly all of it, just go wi ur baby if lo eats it all offer a pud or something then u know to do more next time. if u dont eat at same time as lo try making a few meals in advance n freezing. as for milk try offering lo yogs or cubes of cheese in between meals as this counts or make milky puds like rice pud or something. cant really help wi milk coz charley is allergic to it but she has a good bit of soyamilk wi her breakfast n supper.

    hth a little xx

Hiya. What sort of thing s do u have to eat? I give my lo the same as us.  We dont add any salt or anything when boiling pots/veg so that hedoesnt have too much salt.  I find it so easy.  Even if we eat later than him-i save out dinner for him to have the next day.
