Hey again with the milk for flight we took an empty bottle and bought bottled water once through checks then tipped powder in, cos you cant take anything sharp to open carton with! We flew in the middle of day on way out and lo was 10 months he was fine we took a new toy that he had never seen before which he played with for a while and then he slept most of the time, must have been the noise and movement, we were dreading it tho! With the cows milk for your lo they tend to have long life milk in spain, we found it quite hard to find fresh milk, for tea etc cos kyle still needed his formula. They do formula's there tho! xx

Just buy all your milk after you go through passport control unless you want to taste it (in bottle) or the cartons they will take off you so it saves money to buy cartons after ppc.

Just wanted to know about taking milk on the plane are we ok to take a carton on as don't think your allowed to take a ready made bottle on. So glad i read this post as i didn't know about the sodium content in water. Is there anything else we should be aware of!! Thanks all

I lived in Tenerife for 3 years with my lo and you should always use bottle water and boil for formular feeds and water.

All spanish parents do this aswell on advice from doctors.

luckily we flew at 6 am so because we had taken lo out of bed and hed been awake in airport he lsept all way through .

yes the milk is fine for lo to drink

we flew with 18 month old and 5 month old luckly flight was also pretty empty and after take off the hostess moved us to a full empty row of 4 seats .you can also pre book bulk head seats for extra spae then u can sit lo on floor.

lo is 7 month and hes been away twice to be honest it was much easier than we thought it would be . everybody said we were mad taking them both away so young . my 2 year old is harder o handle on holiday!!

sorry, jumping in! We're going when lo is just over 1. He'll be on full milk then, is it the same in Spain? (i feel like peter kay even asking!) I mean is it safe etc.

How did you all manage the flight? my lo is crawling, nearly walking, NEVER sits still, and only sleeps in his cot. I'm not looking forward to it, and the flights are late evening

Hi we went to spain and most of the bottled water out there is ok to drink, sdium content is the thing to look for its something like sodio in spanish, think as long as its under 20mg but if you type it in on google it will tell you what it needs to be under. I found spain quite easy to get baby food etc, nappies are quite expensive tho. We ot some spanish brand that was brilliant they had lines on the front that turned blue when nappy was wet so well worth trying their own brands.

The other thing is unless you are staying in a hoel when you go out to eat they not big on highchairs so if you have a portable one we had a cloth one that we took with us

    xx
