My dd is just 9 months and she has sat up alone for a few seconds a few times but shows no intrest in doin it, i think she just gets scared. She has a bumbo n nearly falls out of it reaching for things n she rolls everywhere n when lying on back spins around like a clock, its so cute. she can pull herself up and stand holding my hands. She never stays on her bum lol. Shes talkin and claping aswell so im not too worried about the sitting thing coz shes doin everything else

My ds was 9 months on wed, he has been crawling now for about 3 wks now he is pulling himself up on everything he has had more bangs :-(

Its driving me crazy i cant leave him for 2 seconds think he would need to be in a padded room lol. Dont worry your wee man will do things in his own time, some day he will just take off! Have you a walker? i no it really helped jack to be able to move around.

Hey my lo is 9 months next wk and isnt moving! she will roll about when she feels like it but would much prefer to sit and play with toys, she isnt crawling and if i get her into crawling postion she cries! I can see she wants to go, she reali reaches forward to get toys and I can just see her goin one of these days, and she wont put her legs on the floor either! she wont bear weight on her legs, im not too worried she is still young. She loves to clap and dance, do things she knows is naughty, copies alot of noises, i just cant wait for xmas and her bday!

I know you can't help but worry but really enjoy the most of it, I wish Jayden was lazy sometimes as he's never content without constant entertainment and me walking round the house with him (holding his hands).

I'd like to know about those roll things though please?  Can anyone send me a link?

Hiya... every baby is different, so I wouldn't worry too much.  Have you tried a baby door bouncer - that's fun for them and strenghtens their legs too.  We use a jumperoo at the moment, but will use a door bouncer when he gets too big for that (unless he's walking by then of course!).

To get him rolling, why not buy one of those inflateable tubes with balls and bells in them (not sure what they're called).  They've got little plastic windows in them to let them see what's inside and it's supposed to encourage them to roll & crawl.
