Hi please get him checked out. My ds2's pee started to have a really strong smell. I put it down to not drinking enough water.

Think this went on for about 3/4 days, then last saturday night he had a really high temperature and started to shake really badly, also his breathing was short and sharp. I phoned NHS 24 and they sent an ambulance. My wee lamb was admitted for two nights, he had a urine infection which apparently in quite uncommon in wee boys. He had to go for kidney scans, was on intraveinas (sp?) antibiotics, and he's on an antibiotic medicine for 6 months while a few more tests are done to see if he has kidney reflux.

I know this may not be the problem with your little man, but if you feel something is wrong please take him to see a doc.

When wee smells strong, it is usually due to not drinking enough water. It is because the urine it is not as diluted and more concentrate... try and get some more water down. I know eaier said than done, but may be you could try different beakers to see what suits? If you have been having central heating on or have been wrapping lo up more, may be this has caused slight dehydration Hope lo gets better soon but see doc if concerned xxx

Heya, just wondering if it could be the actual nappy smelling? If not and def wee then i would say it's a urine infection... if you can get lo to drink lots of water to flush it all out. hth x
