    Hiya

My lo has just turned 1 and was worrying about this building up to his first birthday, I tried him with a cup a few week ago, it wasnt too bad, he had a go, its like you said, finding the right cup for your lo, I have tried a few, the "nubby" was ok, I tried the tommee tippee stage 4 (i think) cup, but the flow was a little too fast, he is back on bottles at the min as he got a cold and was a bit poorly so I just wanted to make sure he got enough fluids! now he is better im gone try the tommee tippee one again, im gona try him with the morning feed first as he wont be tired and he will hopefully be more willing to try!then eventually change the last milk feed once he gets used to the cup, someone got him a lovely tommee tippee cup that has a pop up rubber straw for his birthday, I might even try that?

    xx

im worrying about this although lo still has 6 weeks.

to be honest im trying not to be bothered as he'll sense that and be awkward!!!

i wouldnt be too rigid just keep trying.

i would say maybe when its bottle time offer a beaker first then if you wish finish feed with the bottle.

or you could go cold turkey and not offer him a bottle at all!!

by 12 mnths i think they begin to not want full bottles anyway and go for smaller feeds throughout the day so dont worry if he wont take a full 7oz (approx) feed from a beaker.

the trouble im having is to find a cup he can use but doesnt drip too much!!

    I have a questionfi0na

    Hi

I can get ds to take a cup for a drink at snack or lunch time but not a full feed. As he will be a year next week I am a little worried about him still using a bottle. Anyone got a foolproof way to get him to use the cup?

    Thanks
