My DD is 19 months and has been potty trained since 15months. I went straight to the knickers. She really hates the fact that she has made a puddle on the floor when she does have an accident. We seem to have more accidents when she is teething. Guess the pain overrides the sensation. But on the whole now we have about 2/3 accidents a week usually coz I am not paying attention.

I'd go straight for knickers, hopefully after a couple of days she will start to get the hang of it.
For the first few days DS didnt wear anything (much quicker to stick them on the potty with no pants)
Good luck x

what about a compromise? something like bright bots training pants. dd1 loves them as they look like real knickers but can catch accidents http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/categorydisplay26_464_10751_14552_brand_set_-1__10001?rw.cm=Google,PPC,bright+bots&cm_mmc=Spannerworks-_-Google-_-bright%bots would say they aren't cheap but you shouldn't need that many and may well be cheaper than pull ups in the long run. the other thing is that they feel wet so hopefully accidents should be kept to a minimum. running round the house mopping up spills is no fun!

My lo did her first wee on her potty last night. She loved it and we couldnt get her off it. Was so proud of her. We bought her the singing one that looks like a normal toilet from argos. Best investment ever. The advice i need is about pull ups. Is it worth using them. I have had mixed advice bout them as they feel like a normal nappy she might just go to the toilet in it. Should i put her straight into knickers?

hun yr best to stay with pants or you could confuse yr lo !!
but always keep a nappy with you and 2 spare sets of clothes xx
