my ds does this as well.  Maybe try getting a seat that fits onto the toilet - ds is much better with this than the toilet, probably because he feels more grown up and knows thats what the rest of us adults do.  Getting back to your question though ds will be 2 next week and I thought a couple of months ago he might be ready as he was doing some wees on the potty but then he totally went off it so I’ve left it.  It lo is being funny with the potty maybe its time to wait.  Good luck!

my ds said wee wee while in the bath today and then did a wee! i was really proud of him as that's the first time he's demonstrated he knows what he's about to do when it comes to going to the loo!

sorry don't know what to suggest for your dd as i haven't started potty training yet. sure someone else on here can help

For the past week, my dd has been standing up in the bath and weeing, and laughing while she's doing it. Could it be a sign she is ready for potty training? She is 19 months old. I've tried getting her to wee on her potty but no luck, I don't think she understands what I'm asking her to do. But I don't know why she is weeing in the bath! She does it on purpose which shows she has some degree of control over when she has a wee.
