Vest and babygrow or l/sleeve pj's and fleece sleepsuit.  Pillow under bottom sheet helps it stay put and I use a single bed quilt tucked under mattress.  I also leave a fleecy blanket for him to cuddle and heating comes on at reg intervals during night.  He still manages to wriggle free but it's normally only his feet that get cold.

Oh and my older ds has a teddy bear which you can warm up in microwave, that's a good thing.

Ky went to be tonight in shorts and t-shirt pj's a vest and his duvet, but he only sleeps under the duvet during his daytime nap, on a night I cover him back up when I go to bed and let him get on with it if he was cold he would cover himself back up (which he can do) or would cry,  I haven't even got my heating on yet, but our house tends to be quite warm and where always hot, I still have my 6 tog duvet on our bed.

I would go with the majority and buy some fleece sleepsuits, Ky had some last year and when it was really really cold he would sleep in one.

I bought some fleece sleepsuits from Primark last week and they do them up to 3-4 years!

My son will not keep anything on him, so I leave the heating on lowish all night

DS has a king size Duvet on his little junior bed. DH tried it and it worked so now he won't let me see if he'll go back to the cotbed duvet I paid £60 for. HE wears sleepsuits with feet (Asda do 18-24 month ones and they are quite big) and when it gets colder he'll go into fleecy ones (Woolies).

im thinking of using thin cotton sleep suits as vests when he has pj's on coz he never keeps socks on and i want his feet to keep warm lol

My lo's room is starting to get cold at night now and he tends to also kick off his quilt so we've bought him a couple of fleecy sleepsuits (the ones with the feet covered) from Sainsburys and he's sooooo snug and warm in them now. hth

My dd usually wears a vest and sleepsuit and has two cotbed duvets tucked under her mattress, she doesnt usually escape and dif she does i just cover her over n shes fine.

But last night was cold so i also put a fleece sleepsuit on her aswell and she slept fine as usual. She loves to be cosy always has loads of covers etc!

I have the exact same problem, DS goes to bed with PJ's (he pulls off socks).  I tried him back in a Grobag but i think its been so long since he has been in one he freaks out when he is in it and everytime we ended up taking him back out of it!!  I have tried a long sleeved vest under the PJ's but then his upper body gets hot and legs and feet are cold - so he still wakes up cold!   We have tried various blankets and a duvet (which he hated) and everything gets kicked off.  Im really hoping that he might come round to the Grobag idea but im not getting my hopes up!!

Ruby is a wriggler as well, she goes to bed in a vest, pj's socks and a little skull cap she's as warm as toast even though she throws the duvet off

    hi hun

i use his cotbed duvet he still manages to wrriggle out of it but il go in n cover him up n he usually is ok till the am he wakes between 6 and 8am morfe 6 tho lol.

i guess its just a matter of trial and error to see which works best in winter i put them soft fluffy bed socks on ds n have the heating come on at about 4 for an hour just to keep it warm.

My litle boy always seems to be fairly  warm at night, he goes to bed in his PJ's and I just put a small blanket on him, which by 9pm he has thrown off himself and has nothing on him at all, I cover him back up but he just doesn't like being covered, he's waking at 4am each morning crying and I think its because he's cold, so I tried putting him back into a growbag to which he screamed the place down as he can't move around in it.  He is a constant wriggler at night so am scared to use a duvet as he will go under it and I worried he will sufoctae he desn't stay on his pillow and always ends up at the wrong end of the bed.  Any suggestions please on what to do?
