I took DS's bar and harness off about a month ago and he is fine with it. He is 22 months old and a real climber and as PP said it is better he can climb on to the seat and not over the bar! He is very good though and asks for help to get up or down if he can't quite make it (if chair is too close to/far away from the table).

Dd has just started in hers - I'd forgotten how messy the cushions get in the beginning.

my dd 2 has had hers off for about 3 mths because she was climbing in so thought it was safer for her to climb onto the seat and not over the bar. She is 2 at end of Dec.  She had been using her sisters seat for crafts and sand play never fell off and if tucked in it is hard for her to escape anyway.

hi, i'm still using the baby bar atm (without reins). i'm 4 months pg so i think i'll be taking the bar off soon as it's getting more difficult to get ds in and out already! is it safe to use without reins?
