    lol avadenough!

My little boy was suffering a couple of weeks ago, kept saying "sore" and pointing, and crying when we changed his nappy. Took him to docs and they said it was an infection and gave him some antibiotics. Don't seem to have cleared it up though so will probably have to take him back.

I'd say worth taking him to get him checked out.

i would get him checked hun. if theres no rash but is red and he is in allot of pain then get him checked. i say this cause my son who is 3 had a torsion (twisted testicle) at 9 months old and was in allot of pain. the first day it was red and i thought it was nappy rash but he was in allot more pain than normal and it seemed to be getting worse.

Hi, my friends little boy had this, his were very sore & it turned out he had an infection, they told her it was to do with pulling back the willy & washing under the forskin, which she had'nt thought she should do, anyway he had antibiotics & it cleared up fine..

I've found that wrinkled area of skin very hard to get properly clean after an exploding nappy with just baby wipes and often resort to a quick dip in the bath (or the bathroom sink) and have often wondered if you'd be able to tell if it gets sore and pink because of the natural colouration.

If he doesn't like having them wiped a lot more than the rest of his nappy area then Yes - it's well worth getting him checked out by the doc. I'd probably first try a quick wash down and then pat dry followed by a generous nappy cream to the whole area and see if he was less bothered at his next bum change... but i wouldn't delay any more than that. When it's nice and warm - can you see both his little peas? I think when they're young they get into difficulty quite easily - thats why they (hv's etc) always check them at the same time they check their hips at check-up times.

    Good luck !!
