not doing kneeling excersises yet just sitting ones, glad it made a difference for you gives us all a bit more hope.ellie has quite a few appointments this month bless her.
all the best for now xx
Hiya
Are you doing kneeling exercises with Ellie? This really helped with Anya's sitting and she made good progress in a few months. She's 13 months now and still doesn't sit brilliantly for long periods cos of her low muscle tone in her back I think but she doesn't go backwards quite as much any more. Glad to hear Ellie is progressing well and like you say at least slow progress is progress - seems that when they make no progress is when they worry!
Hope all the other lo's are doing ok,
xx
hi everyone,hope your all well.
ellie had her speach and lang appoint which went quite well, got to do face massage with her to try and get her used to having thing in and near her mouth.she physio on fri ,they were pleased with her progress, looking at sitting up excersises for her, slow progress but slow is better than none at all.
hi to u all
thanks for being pleased for me ,she is smiling daily now and its still lovely to see,had a few tears from her big sisters (there 21&23)and her aunt when they got thier 1st smile
ellie had speach n langu this week which wasnt to bad, firstĀ one so lots of questions as as usual no report sent from hosp,a few ideas to try and she also said makaton would help when shes a bit older,so ive taken to watching something special on cbeebies{the web site shows some as well} never to early to learn.
hope you and all the little ones are ok,speak to you all soon
smiles are the most amazing things! I'm so glad ellie has found hers.
My little eleanor - is still doing good. We hada paediatric appointment yesterday - felt a bit down after it - felt like we had to list all the things that were wrong with her - still i means that she's getting everything she needs doing done.,
Hiya Angie
Congratulations - that's brilliant! I'm so pleased for you - there's nothing like a smile to make it all worthwhile! OOh that rhymes!
Hope all your lo's are doing well
xx

hope all your little ones are well xx
gosh Angie,
I am so sorry to hear about your little one - thank goodness she's ok again. Babies hey, who'd have 'em? - well actually me...
Hiya
Angie - I'm sorry to hear about your lo but glad to hear she's better now. Anya also had 2 nights this week with temp of 39 degrees so I was really stressed. It's such a worry when they are ill isn't it. Turns out she's sprung 2 molars so I think it was teething or viral illness with her cold. Anyway she seems over the worst I hope and is doing ok - just learned how to open her hands up to hold a ball and has started waving!! I am a proud Mummy.
Hope your lo's are doing well.
xx
hi everyone
how are you all.
ellie had a bad turn last week ,she got a temp which caused her to fit(hasnt fitted since birth) the medi they gave her then caused her to stop breathing but after being resusitated she then slept for 48 hrs, bless her.she ok now and back home and back to norm whatever that is.
looked at the makaton site than was mentioned it looks good, spoke to the nursury teacher at childrens centre about it and they are going to be learning it there which is good news for me,they are going to find out if i can join them which would be even better.
hope your all getting on ok speak to you soon
angie xx
Hiya,
ha ha they're funny our lil ones just cause us endless amount of worry and the same amount in joy!!
It's good to know that Anya was doing that to with the head shaking also and Millie may grow out of it, she say Hiya now too.
Millies doing really well thankyou and we have just had a chap out today to fit fixing onto her matress to stop her stiffening, it comes in 2 weeks.
You should ask social worker to help with the dla form, mine is really good.
Big hugs.
xx
ps eleanor is a little head shaker too - she's got a horrible little bald spot still where she keeps rubbing her hair off
ooh - i really fancy the Makaton signing - i like the idea of bringing action, words and pictures together. I just need to see if there is anywhere nearby that does it when i'm not working
Has anyone else been offered portage? The epilepsy nurse has said she's referred us - again it's having time off work when i can do it ! The other thing I need to try and do is tackle the DLA form
can't say i'm looking forward to that one.
Hiya
lol - Anya went through the head shaking stage too!! I was really worried she had a spasm but clearly not as she hardly ever does it now!! I have been doing some baby signing with her and she got 'duck' but her hand co-ordination isn't really up to anything else although she does try - bless her! She's really trying to copy us with words at the moment which I think is a good sign although she doesn't usually get it right. Where there is a will there's a way though I like to think!
How is Millie doing?
xx
Hi abunge,
just reading your post have you tried makaton signing, it really helps doing the same with Millie and she's starting to grasp!! However her fav thing at the mo is to shake her head as no, lil terror
If you type in Makaton into google it is the first one and brings up homepage
Hope Anya gets better soon.
xxxx
Hiya
We had our Speech Therapy appointment yesterday and wasn't overly reassuring. Lo is behind with her speech/ babble and they won't be able to tell anything until she starts to make sentences anyway - not very useful session really! Never mind, she's started doing a few new things and her muscle tone looks a bit more relaxed so feeling more cheerful in any case!
Hope you all doing well xx
hi
finally got a speech/language appoint 4 next month 2 c how her swallowing is or isnt going, spent 2day in the assesmnt bay at hosp, she pulled her tube out this morn(after it got blocked last nite, got home from hosp at midnite) while at hosp getting tube fitted told them she'd woken with a temp after a few checks it turned out she has a urine infection, came home with medicen and an appoint 4 a kidney scan ,still better safe than sorry.
hows all your little ones, enjoying the sunshine while it lasts!
xx love to you all xx
Hiya
Anya is now 11 months (!) and says dada, nana and sometimes mumum but a lot of sounds like adad and udud so not long rambling sentences of babble which some babies are doing. She does try to copy sounds but not generally very successfully so will see what ST says.
Hope Eleanor is doing well and coping with this hot weather!

hi all
had another assesment 2day with a diffrent pead ellie decided to behave like an angel not! she was very non responsive...she let her head lol every where with no effort to hold it...stiffened every time he touched her.....even when on her tummy (which she loves) she just lay looking lovely didnt attempt to lift or turn head as she would at home....the doctor ended up looking at me sympatheticly and shaking his head oh well a review in 3mnths bless her. xx
