Spoke to lea about our refusal today over phone the only reason they have refused is because the school havent sent any information on her 2 provisions. Basically they are going to give the school a week to contact them which they have been informed off and if they recieve no reply they will be going into the school and ask them to produce info they need.

Spoke to Ipsea they said school are breaking sen code of pratice and too appeal against lea decision as all we need to for them to assess her at this stage. They also gave me lots of other advice as she will bewmoving to the juniors in sept IPSEA are a bit wary of support they will provide so i got to find out from the junior school by arranging a meeting.

Some good news my younger dd STARTS school in sept (DIFFERENT ONE)and will be starting on School action plus which the senco is more than happy to apply for stat assessment if needed too .

I havent convinced my hubby to transfer her older sister there but working on it!!

Really sorry to hear this I have posted some links for you on your speech therapy thread that might help. My advice for you now would be to cut your losses and run , move dd to another school where they will make their own assessments as a new starter and may be more willing to support your assessment request. You have nothing to lose if current school aren't working with you, (((hugs)))) Donna

We have been refused ( i knew this would happen) they want a meeting with the school and ourselves to move things forward and will reconsider if the school provide evidence.

Basically the school hasnt done anything and cant provide evidence of there input and stratagies.

At least we know and have in writing that her attainment levels for english are all 1b also maths and science level 1 they wont provide her previous attainmnet levels to show her progress and havent sent in her former IEPS

All she gets is 1hr weekly of narrative therapy from tA

                            1hr weekly of words with senco and says she currently has no IEP

Been waiting 9 weeks now for a copy of her school records so might write to COG requesting this, dont know whats wrong with the school.???
