ebbi, sorry to say it but you need a peadiatrician to complete a neuro assessment (including scan's etc to give a diagnosis of CP) you could always go to your local private hospital for a neuro consult, however the chances are it'll be a consultant who specialises in adults (that you see) or...the same peadiatrician that you've already seen through the NHS...

as (sorry I forgot your name) but the other person who already replied ...say's... your better off asking you GP to refer yo to an alternative consultant in another hospital, for a second opinion... sorry I can' give you better news...  good luck either way x  

i don't think there's a specific test per se just really a 'clinical diagnosis'.  If you are having no luck with your paediatrician perhaps you could ask for a second opinion?
