Hi Ya ladies,
Blimey Theresa, sounds like your lot were keeping you on your toes yesterday!! lil monkeys. Jack is the same, he will shove dd over or punch her for no reason, now shes getting bigger though she will wallop him back, its soo hard when you have a small baby and a child with adhd isnt it, constantly watching them incase they hurt the baby, never again could I go through that lol, definitely getting a bit easier now that she can stick up for herself more.
Jack did some really good homework tonight, he can do much more than we think and shocks us sometimes, when he can concentrate for the odd moment he can spell really well - when he wants to that is lol. We managed to read one book, do one numeracy worksheet and practice some spellings - big achievement tonight!
Well, hope you are both well, speak soon

hi ladies, vick good to see you and yes i remember you mentioning the social worker and sounds like it was a pointless, whats sats team sorry to be nosey. Maybe a new start in a new school might be worth consideing maybe a school with more special needs children in if thats possible it will be hard leaving his friends and mason will leave his friends in september if he gets into special school bu i feel it be the best for him it sounds like your school is letting jay down by not supporting him propperly is darcie better now?
charlotte why dont you arrange for your son to see the bigge school and see if he would feel happier in a bigger school i did this and the larger school has frightened him he likes small quite groups
enjoy your weekend weve currently got son so getting some laundry done
13/9/08 08:39
Hi Vicky and Theresa (and Charlotte in Filey lol). Oh Vicky sorry to hear what a crap time you have been having, what a worry that must have been and all for nothing really with the social worker.
Yes, Im getting peeved at him being called silly all the time, and have made a massive effort not to say it myself as I must admit before I would say dont do that you are silly, and now he says he is silly, so Im on a big effort to not say that to him anymore. Im going to look for that book you talked about for jack so that he can read it and maybe understand whey he acts the way he does as i think he is beginning to realise he is a little different. I dont know what to do about school, whether to keep him at the small one where he sticks out like a sore thumb or send him to a bigger one where he could blend in a bit more, but then it might make things worse, its hard to know what to do for the best with schools isnt it. Sorry to hear Jay is unhappy, must make you feel awful x
Well, I hope everyone has a nice weekend and speak soon ladies.
13/9/08 08:25
morning ladies ,
hope your all well

i shall explain myself : i dont no if you remember me mentioning i had a had social worker round ? sent by the t*** pead , i had been worrying myself sick over what was going to happen wich is why i didnt come on , finally spoke to them and they come up with nothing that jay doesnt allready have in place , with is parental support and refer jay to the sats team , all that worry over nothing im am soo mad about it , but on the other hand so glad its over now .
sorry to hear masons been getting bullied theresa , kids can be so cruel , thats was another reason jay came off his meds because he was getting bullied while on them he wouldnt stick up for him self he was very withdrawn and quiet , now totall opposite ,
racheal , yes jays been called a silly boy because of his behavour by his teacher he had last year a number of parents complained and we even signed a petition , hes now left the school i would certinaly say some thing to the school about it , jay has poor self esteem being called names does not do anything to help it at all ,
this year i brought a book for jays teacher to read called (do you know about adhd sir , )its written by a boy for his class teacher , i got it off addiss website , its only small its gives them some understanding why they behave the way they do .i also brought jay a book off there its for kids 4 + years it explains about adhd in a way the kids can understand , has pictures ect half the book is about boys adhd other half is for girls its very good .
jays having big issues with his teacher , i got a phone call from the lady that runs the adhd group yesterday , to say jay was upset while he was there , he told her about his teacher , and she told him to tell me , he said i wouldnt care
..... wich i do he wants to move class but there not going to let him , also this quy called craig was meant to be seeing him in school hes a sollution focus coach goes in finds out what there probs are with school , and then speaks to school to help find ways to make it better for them , but the head has refused this and said theres people in the school that can do this and has put jay on the waiting list for it . i am not happy at all and jay said he wont see someone from the school .i rang the admissions at the council yesterday to see about changing schools , jay said he doesnt want to leave cause of his friends so i dont no its a nightmare ,
sorry for the essay , i thought i would explain myself a little lol .
hope your all well enjoy your weekend and holiday vick xxx
12/9/08 21:06
hi my son is slightly better behaved at school than at home but has 'silly' moments at school hes not medicated your sons school is wrong at forever telling him hes silly and can be classed as verbal abuse i had to fight with doctors and school for them to agee he had adhd before this they classed his behaviour as silly and he was repeatdly told he was silly told you need to be as firm as possible with him too and cary out any punishment you give him out fully this can be hard but needs to be done my sons behaviour has become a little worse but i think hes getting fed up of being bulied and starting to realise hes different from others he is 10 and had a t.a. since he was 4.5 yrs
12/9/08 20:41
Can I ask a question about behaviour. I picked ds up from school and heard him being taken out of assembly for being silly, he was then taken back in and told not to spoil everyones assembly. My son is 6 as ive said, and not on medication at present. From your experience, has your childs behaviour improved at school (for children not on meds) as they have got older - does your child always get into trouble. Im really starting to worry that maybe im just not tough enough on him and thats part of the reason why he is always so naughty - i just feel like he is always being told he is silly at school and i dont want him to feel unloved and stupid (he has had one to one since 2.5 at nursery) ( i dont like to use that word but thats how he comes across to everyone else) thanks R x

Hi Racheal, we go away tomarrow and carn't wait. everything is packed ready to go.

She is fast asleep now and I suppose to be cleaning but I can not get motivated so thought I would come on here for a litle bit.Dh as said we can have a takeaway tonight but I dont know if I can really justify it as taking kids mds tomarrow so I dont have to cook dinner strightaway. I may just do something quick and easy tonight like spag bol.
Hope everyone is ok. ? Will speak to you all soon not sure if I will be back on now but saying that I may nip on later for a bit.
