Hi everyone - Theresa, well done you, great stuff! - my son has been the same since going back to school, behaviour has deteriorated massivedly, mind seems confused and he is muddling his words again all the time - lets hope they settle back down soon x

aww thanks hows jay in his new class / year? is he setteling or still hating it masons behaviour has changed dramatically for the worse he destroyed his posture pack today its a wedged cusion that he sits on to improve his posture he stuck his pen right through it so got a step (a warning) 3 steps and its detention hes also been quite unresponsive they say hes tired a lot but hes perfectly well when i send him

morning thankyou my exams at 4 but i feel it be ok its only level one and its only taken 2 weeks to brush up on this level
shame they felt jay didnt need more help the school are like this with my eldest dd (14) they only told me when she was 11 that she was on the special needs register and had been on it for 4 yrs wich meant the individual educational plans or whatever they call em never got reviewed and i think even now we have only got it updated once she has aspergers, mild learning difficulties, dyspraxia and possible dyslexia but refuse to test that propperly and erlin and they put her on the school action plus but dont know why as they dont help her more
ill let you get on with your ironing its so quite as jasmyne started full time school on monday so theres just niall at home i do miss my cheeky little madame but shes liking school and the only thing that upset her is her pudding and dinner being on the same tray and not having seperate plates bless her

glad your feelin a little better ((((((hugs)))))we get the new car today hubbys took our car to work and is goin to pick up the new one after work hes more excited than me lol .....
i saw the ed psyc on tues about jay bein accessed , she thinks he doesnt need it
and that hes getting all he needs in school , wich i feel is not the case !!!!!i will mention the toe walkin nxt time i see the gp i didnt realise it was a problem my brother has always walked on his toes bare foot jay does it all the time thanks .

hello ladies right had a moment to view other posts firstly thanks for all your support im felling much better now and things are sinking in now apart from mason an belle ive also delt with collage and i wasnt too well either thats why i been off for a few days and my gardens been getting sorted ruddy gardeners left more mess than anything anyways .
vicky hows the car glad you got one last time you went for a car didnt you get a kettle instead lol
charlotte really pleased you enjoyed your hols and got a good bargin for later when you going next year were going 10th july wich happens to be the last school week.
ask for the docs and cams and who ever see him to write a personal opinion or report that you can add to your written opinion / statement wich highlight your prefered school wich you need to get as many possitive reasons for special school and as many negatives of the secondry main school you ask to add this to your sons statement the docs prob will be asked for a statement on his needs but prob wont attend your review i know it short notice but try and get as many written personal reviews / opinions as possible another thing is to visit the mainstream and the special school and look for possitives and negatives for example if your son hates noise and in the mainstream theres lots of noise note this down as special schools tend to be smaller and so fore quiter and so forth, you get these set backs and you will feel like banging your head against the brick wall but keep in there an hope it goes well.
i hope i make sence got my first maths exam tomorrow wich is level one i did ok in my mock so hope to do well
vick as for toe walking and autism it is common and should be adressed if its happening a lot as the child can damage his feet piedro boots might limit this but a talk to a doc might help
niall is getting refered to the foot specialist as he walks on the insides of his feet thats all the children now that have flat feet my elder too just need decent shoes melly has prescribed insoles and mason and jasmyne wear the piedro boots

racheal i just read your reply to the thread about adhd and asd , i didnt realise that walking on there tip toes was part of aspergers , jay has allways done it even with shoes on i have never given it much thought , my friend commented on it a couple of weeks ago , i couldnt tell her why .
as for jay hes very much into computor games he has been since he was 5 he plays his ps2 alot also has to complete a game , or goes on the laptop also loves music and can watch a music vidio once and can tell you what happens , plays on the wii or his nintendo ds .
jay has on occaisons talked about killing him self es very emotional .
carlotte lad to ear your ds is doing ok since youve been back off your holidays .

Hi Rachael, Adam is really in to his power rangers transformers again now. He as made a friend at school who is also intrested in these so he as started to play with them again now. Also he his big on dianosaur king and as been making moving dinosaurs etc out of paper. But recently lets hope this is a phase he as started talking about death and drawing rather alarming pictures of plane crashes people coming down with parachutes and then being shot dead when they reach the bottom.Sorry if I have not been much help.
Just as I thought things were looking up and Adam e.p did an assessment on him at school today and came to see me this afternoon and said he struggled on a couple of bits but as also improved on a few bits and he as settled in well. She did query the ADHD dianogises and said he had general learning difficulties which as changed from a few months back back then it was mod learning diff. She asked us to see what school he his going next yr and we mentioned a special and she said oh she dont think he will get that as he can cope in mainstream now, But trying to get it across that this is only primary next yr will be secondary and he as already been at a school thats run excately the same as secondary school and he failed at it well shouldnt say he failed it but it was not right place for him. And she disagreed. I told her westcotes who dianogised adam have also said special will be best for him and she said well they have no right its up the to educational aurioty. She also quiered his sensory profile investigations that he his undergoing andstarted questioning if i was telling the truth because we havent had a report from it yet and thats only because its ongoing and will take a while to complete the assessments etc. I gave her a name of his O.T and told her to ring her. But looks like things are going backwards agin now and looks like we will have to fight for a special just as we thought things were looking up as school invited the senco from the special school we want him to go to to the annual review of his statment., I guess I will have to see what will happen on his annual review on the 10th October. I am going to see if Adam o.t and doc at camhs can attend the annual review to back us up a bit.
Other than that Adam is a changed boy since being back of holiday and is actually letting me give him is medication now aswell which is a great improvement.

I have a question for you all lol. My son has been addicted to mission mars lego for the last few months and has kept him out of mischief, but lately he seems bored with his lego, hes not reallty into toys anymore as such, what sort of things do your kids have or spend time doing as im really stuck for ideas.

Morning everyone, how are you today?
Hope Theresa is okay not seen her this week, hope shes feeling okay.
Got pediatrican appt through for Friday, going to see about another type of medication, I just cant see him managing without any help, think we have to try and find something that works for him, and I cant carry on with him the way he is, its driving us to insanity (sure you all know how that feels too).

sounds like you all had a fab time charlotte , we have only been to butlins in minehead were thinking of trying somewhere different next year .
racheal dont be so hard on yourself hun , we all scream and shout and say things we dont mean when were angry , when the kids kick off we can only take so much .

hi ladies hope evry one is ok im good just been to phisio for me hip thing is im in more pain than when i went in lol got to see masons teacher as he burst into tears today cause no one plays with him and they bully him i hate to see him like this but it explains his behaviour its so frustrating for me let alone him especially has he doesnt understand why they are like they are to him
