Thanks everyone. I'll register when I've got 5 mins. Yes I'm jsut so pleased he made it home, plenty of times I weren't sure if that day would ever come. Seems like it was ages ago now. Although I do find it fustrating that none of the professionals seem to beleive a word your saying and they contridict each other a lot of the time, but don't they always! xx19/8/08 09:08

Hi my little one was born 13 weeks ago, we discovered he had downs 3 days after birth. Was a big shock as I'm 22 and partner 24 and no family history on either side. He was Neonatel surgery unit for 3 wks as he had a tum infection and they tested for hersprugs (sp?) luckily that came back clear, he also had the usual xrays and scans was NG fed, TPN, drips. He's also got poorly kidneys, still waiting to see consultant to see exactly whats wrong, also soemthing with his heart we've got cardiology appointment for him this thursday. He was also in Speical care baby unit for a week as his sats kept dropping and needed a teeny bit of oxygen. Hes now 13 weeks old today, sleeping 7/8pm until 7:30, taking 160ml bottles, rolling over, smiling, very alert and has started cooing and gurgling bless him. We just taking every day at a time and are ao thankful he's here and as well as he can be, there was plenty of times in hospital I didn't think Id get to bring him home.15/8/08 23:04
