yes keran is under peadrition and i only saw her about 2 wks ago and didnt think of mentioning it i dont know when im next gonna see her as she said she will write with an appointment

im just at my witts end also as with my sn grace never seems to wanna sleep im so tired and nobody will help not even hubby at times i just wanna lock myself in a room and not come out for a week

i might just give hv a try and hope i see dif one to my usual

oh hunny it bad when the proffesionals dont act proffesional ain it when she starts banging her head distract her and play a game or something if you feel write down when she does it what she was doing prior and is your son under a pead could you ask them about your little girl give it a few months and see what happens she might be copying and by sounds of it its possible that its just a copying act but i understand where your coming from my son niall (2) bangs his head so hard and i sometimes question it i try not too but he also has poor attention hes into evrything and even though i point out danger hell go back to the danger within a few moments i begin to wonder if hes got attention problems he not hyper so no adhd but possibly add but there again my mind might be thinking like that cause his brother as adhd so it could be the same with you and the headbanging cause youve seen it once with one child you worry about the next child if they display simular traits iyswim

this is my problem i think they are a waste of time they both told me with my son it was fine he was fine and was his age it was speech therapist who refered us to peadrition and staright away after only manageing to do half the assesment she said he had development delay and a severe one at that and un until abut 18month he was developing fine he crawled at 6 months walked at 1 was talking ok fro age just lots of babble and od words and since about 17months he just ant progress at all even speech therapist who saw us in october last yr and then june this year said in that gap he hadnt progressed at all from what she remebers and wrote down

i know my hv will say she copying of ds but what if summet more or she does some damage to herself i really dont like my hv and doctors never can get appontment and they fobbed me of with same even when i broke down as wa so depressed he just sent me outta door saying its all normal

hi my son is 2 and does head banging when i tell him off or sometimes for the shear fun of it although i cant see whats fun in it he been doing it on and off for about 6 mths ive mentioned it to my health visitor and she said it can be quite normal if be it quite worrying to your self  i also have a son now 10 with adhd, autism,plus other things inc brain damage  who did this early on but hes completly different to my younger son my younger son is reaching all his milestone and is verry happy and  'normal' little boy if your at all worried wich obviously you are talk to your health vis or doc.

i really need some advice my dd is nearly 10 month(10th of this month) and when she not getting attention or upset or i tell her no she bangs her head on what ever is near by now i dont know if she hass got this of her older brother age 3 he has developmental delay and bangs his head for same reasons nd has done since 15 month old and i dont know if thats caused the development delay as is development is of a 18 month old but they are thinking autism as his grandma has a problem wth her brain function right and i got told a brain injury can cause autism so im now getting really worried incase grace is copying and if she could do same damage or if she has a problem anyway and ths is it coming out

she is develoing very quick in mobility areas she is cruising and has been a couple of months now and she has taken her first few steps only eats by feedding herself please anyhelp would be great
