Hi there,
sorry if this has already been covered before but Im having abit of trouble with my ds...
ive been potty training him through the summer by letting him go nappyless and reminding him to sit on the potty when he needs poopoo or weewee.. hes almost got that down great (only afew little accidents..)
the problem is when I put pants on him. He just goes right back to square one and doesnt even bother to tell me he needs to go, he just does it in his pants.. Ive been trying him in pants for a while now, about a month, but he just isnt getting it..
Has anyone else been through this and if so, how did you help your lo to get used to pants and to understand that they still had to use the potty??
Ive ask my mum and mil but they just say he'll get used to pants when its too cold to go without.. I dont really want to wait till his peeper gets frostbite!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thankyou xx

I went through exactly the same with my dd,she would sometimes sit on the potty and wee through her knickers! I got her a Dora the explorer sticker chart (she loves dora and stickers) and everytime she remembered to use the potty she put a sticker on her chart. After a couple of days she did it but I did have to ask her every now and then!
It didn't end there though, the next prob was getting her to realise that she needed to go to the loo whilst wearing pants and trousers,oh what fun that was but again did the sticker thing and within a few days she got it. Bless her though, she's still not brave enough to out and about in pants so she asks for a pull up on but I've started little trips out, without any accidents so will just have to keep trying.
Good luck, don't give up,your ds will get the hang of it.
