    billy who is just 2 has always played with toys for older children as we have ds who is 5 in jan i do buy age related toys usually its common sense got ds2 a pop up  bowling ally says for 3 year old ds2 is fine with it some toys arent advertised at age appripate anyway

    i think as long as its not too advanced or magnets or beads then its pretty much ok. aiden has a few remote control cars that are 8yrs+ and a sticker maker etc...

    If the toy is suitable for my dd without any choking hazards i quite happily but it for her,

    At xmas i have said she can have toys for a 3 year old aslong as i remove anything harmful i dont see the problem. my dd is 2 yrs 2 months.

    With DS I always made sure he had age appropriate toys, however when DD came along she plays with all his stuff, I just make sure the toys with really small parts are out of her reach...

    If they are only a few months off the age then yes,my dd will be 3 in april and i have told people she can have toys for 3year olds at xmas.

    i was just wondering if any of you had seen a toy for your lo and bought it even though it says they have to be a certain age??
