We've done this the last 2 years for dd, we've done mini rubber ducks, bottles of bubbles, bouncy balls.
Really love the nativity scene idea though!

Tesco and asda sell cheap plasticy things for party bags would they be any good? How about pencil sharpners, rubbers, bubbles, sweeties, kelidescope, stamps, temp tattoos, lego pieces even one each day unil theres enough to build something.

Have a look at www.babyzoop.co.uk - they have lots of little stocking filler pressies that would be right size, or www.jesters.com, they have crackers toys that would probably fit.

I like both of those suggestions - does anyone have any other suggestions??

how about a nativity scene - you could put different pieces in the pockets and then build up the scene as the days go by. playmobil do a nice one with pieces probably about the right size. nice as a way to talk about the meaning of xmas?

what about them little kinda choc hippos, stickers rolled up,crayons, choc coins, mini playdoh, if you have a party type shop near you they sell little things that go in party bags that are cheap and fun.

I have made ds an advent calendar (cross-stitch winnie the pooh) and need ideas for 24 little presents to tie on it (thought of so far, little box of smarties, raisins, minicars etc - that it the kind of size i need) - any other suggestions would be very gratefully received. Thank you in advance. Going to post this in a couple of places for maximum feed back.

how about putting the money in then telling him when he gets to the end he will be able to go after father christmas has been and get some sweets i know he will be getting loads for xmas but he will be looking forward to them every day
