Thanks for the replies... well, we had some success yesterday at nursery, only 2 accidents and 2 wees and 1 poo in the potty.  Lo has decided to use the potty at nursery, not the toilet, but the toilet at home and not the potty!  And yes, nursery do have a sticker chart for her.  She's doing well, slow progress but at least it's progress!  Thanks again for your replies.

Does your dd's nursery have reward charts for each child toilet/potty training?  I started toilet training my ds (2 1/2) last weekend and we have a reward chart at home where he gets a sticker every time he pees or poops (pees we have now mastered but still having some poopy problems!)  At his nursery they also have reward charts on the toilet door for those lo's who are training - so while there each time he pees he gets his little sticker on his own chart.

i had this at jacks nursery. In my case, i think i may have started him just a bit too early. He was 28 months and was kind of ready but not quite there yet. He was interested in the potty and did a wee on it and so i thought yay he must be ready and went into potty trainnig mode straight away. Looking back i could have left it about two months maybeor maybe 4 months. He used to be fine in the house but that was because he had a potty in the same room and usually had no pants on. We used to have a lot of accidents and i kept persisting. We went on hol for a month in august and due to one thing or another we put him back in nappies when we were on the beach etc. Sand and poo do not mix. When we got back i was owrried he would not be any good with the potty and he has been so much better. At playschool they were trying to put him in pull ups and i said, to just give him a few days to get back into it and he is now virtually complettely dry in the day. The difference is he has an understanding about it all now. He never reallyused to ask but now he takes himself off to the pottty and asks when we are out and can hold it in till we get there. He has just found the control i think. At playschool he regularly comes home without having any accidents now.

Hi All, I know there's a thread on here a bit similar, but I can't find it and I'm at work so can't  spend too long looking.  My dd 27mth, decided on Saturday no more nappies and has been dry at home since (not nighttime) using the toilet, but we're still working on the poos.  I took her to nursery yesterday (shes gone since 5mth old as I work p/t) in knickers and she had 4 accidents and no success on the toilet.  I'm persisting as she doesn't even want to wear pull ups now, just big girl knickers, but any advice on how I can help her/the staff at nursery?  I've asked them to take her hourly, ask her regularly and also take her before/after meals and nap time.  Anything else?  THANKS!
