hi - i have a DS but everyone else that i know seems to have daughters - just a thought but does your daughter have any boyish toys?  All the girls that come round to our house are fascinated with my DS's garage and car set.

we bought a coldwater fish tank and about 3 fish last year and originally DS (who was 3 and half at the time) loved it and would sit watching them for ages.

then about 2 weeks on the novelty wore off and now i do the cleaning and the feeding and he couldnt care less. rarely even looks at them ... kids eh !

Thanks thats a great idea .. Just ordered the Dora one! We love reading books at nights

As for me having to clean out goldfish I dont mind that as I know Chloe will be delighted to help and I wouldnt expect her to be fully responsible for feeding/cleaning.

    Thanks Again

Hi, we was thinking of a goldfish too until dh (rightly) pointed out that I'd be the one cleaning it out, changing water buying food etc, so that thought went out the window.

Does she like stories?  I got a leaflet for personalised books the other day, you can have stories with your dd's name involved in the story.  There are loads of choices, I'm getting her a Dora one.

Im starting to look for things to get for DD's christmas! She will be 2 and a half and wondered if anyone had any ideas ?? Seems like she has evrything :D

We did think if a goldfish as she loves animals and I think she would enjoy feeding them/help me clean them etc but not too sure about this for a present? Dont want her to feel its a toy/game want her to understand about looking after etc ....... We were gonna write a letter and read it to her from Santa asking her to look after them .. not too sure ..

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated!!
