My DS is 4 1/2 and has just started school and is the same, he can go 3 times in 10 minutes, I think that it's just a control thing, he does it when he goes in.  At home if he's busy he goes for hours.  Nothing to worry about just the way that he's controling a time of change! XX

Hiya - I recently posted a thread on here about my dd - she is doing the same but mainly when at school!!  I havent taken a sample to the docs but was considering it but I am keeping an eye on her and it is  really just a school thing and she has only been going for a mth so maybe it is just something they do when they have a change in their usual routine/move home/new baby ????

I think it is just because it is something that THEY have control over.

I will bump up my thread but I didnt get many replies!!

    xx

Thanks for your replies! Sorry, I forgot to say, he doesnt drink excessive amounts and infact this morning he only had a small sip of drink when he woke up and then he went to the loo 4 times in a row. The doctor checked his urine for diabetes and said it was all fine.

DS1 is 3.5 yrs and has been toilet trained day and night for a year now. He never has accidents now and has been fine at using the toilet with or without help from us/nursery helpers etc. Just this last week he has been going to the loo all the time. For example he will go for a wee and then 10 mins later he says 'mummy I need a wee'. This goes on all through the day. On thursday I took a urine sample to the doctor and had it tested as I thought he may have a urine infection - it was all clear.

We moved house on the 15th September but both DS's seem happy in their new house/bedrooms and are sleeping well etc. I asked nursery to see how often he used the loo when he went on Friday and they said that at one point he went 3 times in 15 mins. The only time he didnt go at close intervals was when they were in the garden for 45 mins. I really dont know what is causing him to do this and dont know if it is something to do with the move or whether it is a habit or an attention thing. If he demanded that someone went with him everytime I would say it was an attention thing but he is happy to go on his own so not sure???I have asked him if his willy hurts/his tummy hurts etc and he says no. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any ideas what is causing this? I was in tears yesterday afternoon as Im so worried what this is all about.
