have tried the waist adjuster ones from tesco but still way too big on the waist , and by the time they fit theyre too short in the leg. dont know where he got the slim tall gene from but it certainly wasnt me!! just seen some nice jeans in the next catalogue with braces .. may give them a try!!

Alot of the jeans i have bought ds have the waist adjusters in them so you can make the waist smaller without needing a belt. I tend to buy these kinds of trousers or the elasticated waisted jeans. He has a tiny waist so i can sympathise with people. You cant really win with some trousers. By the time the waist fits the leg is too short.

Pleased someone's asked about these. ds is 2 yrs 9 mths but only just started needing 2 -3 yrs trousers and they're massive on him (he's not particularly tall and is very narrow build apart from his shoulders). Can turn the legs up but the the waists are massive & his pants fall down, lol.

ive given up ..without a belt his trousers fall down , with a belt he complains it hurts him - and if i loosen it we're back to square 1. dungarees for us at the moment then!!

Got my dd some great snake style belts from next as they are really easy for them to undo and fasten for toilet etc.
You may need to get size 3-6 yrs as this may be smallest size they do but my dd has had this size from around 2, and my dd is tiny and they fit her

Next do the adjustable ones. some lovely designs too. hth. x

Ive got about 10 or more belts for ds...all were attached to the jeans i bought. I could send you one if you want. Wouldnt cost you, i could send it from my work. I only use around 1 or 2...the rest are in his drawer. Just a thought

Does anyone know where i can buy a belt from to fit my 2 year old. All his trousers are too big around the waste and just slide down!!
ive looked everywhere!!

It doesn't get easier! I've been stuggling with this problem with DS for nine years! Tall but skinny! Next do belts but they are fiddly. How about eliminating the problem altogether and invest in dungarees and joggers with tie waists? It's a bit easier for me now actually, as DS wants to wear fotball kits every day and the waists on those are always tiny!
