Acon-great advice! My son was diagnosed with herpectic oral ulceration ( he had mouth ulcers, bleeding gums and a cold sore ). I was perscribed acrotyl in orabase, but when I saw the pharmasist, her daughter had it and she highly recommended difflam spray. I think I'll get this for my son, since the acrotyl in orabase is a paste that tends to dry and flake off and he still has it, so not sure if it's working. Best of luck and hope it heals soon. Difflam spray is great. My son had Gingivostomatis, which is caused by the coldsore virus, his mouth was FULL of ulcers, tongue, gums, lips etc and this was easy to use. Its a numbing spray, plus antibacterial to help against infection. He just had a relapse, with one coldsore on his lip and we are using this again.
