Hi guys.  Thanks for all your lovely comments on my photos!  I was certainly very proud, although managed to stay dry eyed!  I had to laugh at Lou saying I'm elusive!  I must admit I'm a bit self-conscious but didn't realise you had noticed!  Anyway, curiosity now satisfied, I hope!

Yes, it was all very scary yesterday.  Probably no worse than Lissy's attack.  I'm sure if the GP had given him salbutomol he'd have been fine and not needed the ambulance, but I think the reason my doctor hesitated was because I said Alex told me he'd swallowed something.  Still, another of the bumps on the road of parenthood, we survived it!

So, school went fine!  Glad to hear that it did for Jonnie too.  Can't believe we are now school age mums!  Do we need to move to the next forum?  I must say I think it would be a shame to lose this thread.

Eek, we are not school age mums, of course!  but mums of school age children!  Otherwise Lou would be minding the kids whilst we did our GCSEs!!

Oh god Jen that must have been awful. Glad that everything was ok.

I remember when Lissy had a really bad asthma attack and we rushed her to the drs, they put her on a nebuliser (which she hated) and nearly called an ambulance, but all of a sudden she calmed down, her breathing relaxed and it was over. That was nothing compared to what you went through but it felt terrifying being so out of control.

So lovely to see that the elusive Jenny HAS got a face!! I love the facebook pics, what a big boy.

Glad Jonny get on well too, they are so grown up.

Lissy has a "bring your mummy to school" morning on Friday. Was thinking of not going, but in the bath tonight Lissy was telling me all the things she is going to show me and how can I miss out on that? SOOOOO I am going to pull a sickie - my boss would not let me have the time off and steve is in London so sod it! I am leaving in 27 days anyway!

Evening.  Well, it's one trauma after the next in our house!  I think basically Alex had an asthma attack, but I've never seen one before so not too sure!  We were in soft play and he came running out saying he'd swallowed something, couldn't breathe and was really distressed.  I got him calm but he was very grey and still struggling with his breathing, so I walked him to the doctors (next to soft play!).  They saw him quite quickly and he was sick all over both of us and the doctors surgery!  The doctor called an ambulance, I think because he was worried about Alex saying he'd swallowed something.  But I don't think Alex had, I think that's just what it felt like.  Anyway, in the ambulance he had some salbutomol (sp?) and picked up a lot.  The kept us in hospital for ages, and by the time they let us go he was bouncing off the beds looking larger than life!!  All fine now, anyway.

Phew, a long day!  Off to bed soon!

Off to school tomorrow anyway, so all looking good.

Hope Jonnie has a good day tomorrow.  When's NJ starting, Gill?  Will be thinking of you all.

Well done on S's shoes, Gill.  My sister's on the lookout for some for my niece, who's really tiny.  They're off to Bedford today I think.

And well done on the OFSTED, Lou, sounding good.

Alex is fine now, his finger stil looks sore but it's healing well.

Kids driving me mad today.  Stuck in waiting for a delivery, and they soooo need to be out and about!  Sigh.
